Well me too @Laska. I have eaten some sweets and a biscuit. Its my weakness. Wish I didn't have a sweet tooth.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 20:53

I wish I liked wine sometimes. The only wine I like is rosey wine.

Missbobbins · 19/10/2018 20:54

I'm here too! Glass of wine in hand too! Although can't have too much as am playing a match tomorrow!

Ordered the Cassie modal dress which arrived today. After seeing you in it @never I loved it! And it's just as lovely in real life.
Also the all together now T - very lovely too - much thicker than their usual ones - keepers!

Halo well and truly an ankle bracelet now! 😜

Get back safely @Laska5772
And have a lovely weekend with your daughter @cherries

Xx

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 20:55

Its Friday night though [In my defence] You are allowed to treat yourself laska. Back on the wagon tomorrow.

Laska5772 · 19/10/2018 20:56

they just sit in their living room never and DM just not doing anything and DF is just sodespondent . i cant get them to feel anything positive.. its so hard....

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 20:56

So glad you like it bobbins. Its a great dress. I felt great in it yesterday. its now hanging on my airer for its second wear. Its so comfy. Its much better quality than their other cassie dresses.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 20:58

Oh dear @Laska. That must be difficult. Do they live at home or are they in a home? I feel for you. I see my mum isn't the person she used to be and it breaks my heart. She has always been there for me. Helping me and now im helping her Sad

Laska5772 · 19/10/2018 20:58

and so sad to see .. sorry to put this on you. i may have had a couple Wine too many

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 21:00

You are so good always making the effort. I am sure they do appreciate it deep down. Do you think they are depressed?

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 21:01

No, believe me @laska, I know how you feel. My mum is 84 and I can see her decline. You would think as you grow older you become more accepting about dying but I honestly think my mum isn't. It upsets me because she keeps saying she wont be here to see this and that and I think she is depressed about it all.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 21:03

I always thought by the time you reached that age, you would be so pissed off with life you would be glad to go. I have asked her how she feels and she says to me she tries not to think about death but its always a cloud hanging over her.

Laska5772 · 19/10/2018 21:04

Sorry.this has no place on a S&B thread.. Its been a crap week. ill come back later..
Thanks for all good wishes

xx

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 21:05

@Laska. I hope you feel better soon. xx

Laska5772 · 19/10/2018 21:05

sorry ..

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 21:06

No honestly. I am fine. I am a good listener. Please don't apologise Flowers

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 21:07

Sometimes its a tonic to 'talk' to someone outwith the situation. We all have our situations.

Laska5772 · 19/10/2018 21:17

xx

We are here for you if you need to chat s&b regardless {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}

Ellapaella · 19/10/2018 21:46

I'm here too.. just checking in. No wine for me as I've just dropped ds (16) off at the airport, he's flying down to Bristol to see his Dad for the weekend (he has a different Dad to my two younger kids with my now DH) and his flight is delayed so I won't drink in case I have to go and get him again if it's cancelled.

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit low Laska. I can't really offer any consolation except I do understand it's tough. I'm always happy to lend an ear too if you need, we can always internet chat with wine in hand 🍷

I haven't bought any Hush for a while and to be honest can't afford to at the moment. Im in a Christmas countdown and my two younger DC both have birthdays in December so we are putting all spare cash aside for them at the moment. So I feel
I'm not contributing much to the thread right now but still pop on everyday to keep up with things.

Missbobbins · 19/10/2018 21:51

Big hugs @Laska5772 - must be really hard. We all get maudlin and overwhelmed by life every now and again - you are allowed to! Big love. ❤️

dontcallmelen · 19/10/2018 21:58

Another hug from me Laska it can be very tough when parents are elderly, it’s very common for older folk to be depressed/low mood I feel for you, yy it doesn’t always have to be about clothes, we all have worries & concerns.
💐

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 22:00

@Ella, birthdays in December and xmas - what a nightmare! Saying that, my dd's birthday is at the end of January but that isn't too bad as there is always the sales at that time. I usually end up buying stuff and keeping it aside at Christmas time though then buy a few bits and bobs in the sales clothes wise for her. She loves clothes [ I wonder who she gets that from!] Promised her I would get her a pair of dm's! She has teeny feet - a size 2 atm! She is still to stretch and is quite small for her age. Her brother is a size 5 and a year younger. He fits my shoes!!! well I am a 6 but he put my hush star flip flops on in the summer and I was amazed they fitted him!

Ellapaella · 19/10/2018 22:03

@neveradullmoment99 there was a period of time when my eldest ds had the same size feet as me.. that was a great year as I inherited all his old hand me down trainers. Had a nice pair of vans and Nike running trainer cast offs!

Two December birthdays two days apart 😫
Bad timing...

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2018 22:09

Very bad timing!!! He doesn't have good trainers that I would want sadly! Sounds very handy though! He is hard on his trainers and wears them down until the soles are hanging off [ If I let him] I am sure it will all change. He is only 10 atm.

I actually dread Christmas more because of the toy aspect. Every year its just add more blinking clutter. Better now that my two older ones aren't that interested in toys but my younger dd who is 7 makes up for it!!!! She has Barbie this and that and I hate having to find space for it. Time to declutter.
