I am hankering after a loose fit navy cashmere jumper. I am determined to find the right one! I think the Hush one might work but still think it is expensive. Was thinking of one from the M&S men's range but the neckline is too high. I may have a look at one form H&M as I have seen very positive reviews on their cashmere - any opinions here?

The Domino dress is still on my wishlist and I will jump at it if there is a new % code any time soon :)

I bought a gorgeous skirt in M&S today (I know!!) - grey velvet pleats. They have lots of gorgeous pleated midi skirts in both M&S and H&M right now, reasonably priced too.

The one I got is not quite as flashy as it appears in the photo and I think it will go well with a thin knit black jumper and ankle boots.

If anyone has a £20 off £100 spend code or link could you PM it to me please? I am considering a couple of items and it would sweeten the deal.

Writersblock2 · 13/10/2018 03:43

I could do with a £20 off £100 spend too please!

EachandEveryone · 13/10/2018 06:09

I’m just on my way to the train station, it’s already so warm at 6am. Ive got the zebra print leggings on with my bright green new boyfriend jacket. The colour was very popular at the wedding yesterday!

Laska5772 · 13/10/2018 09:04

Miffy and Writers block I have sent you my codes , but you have to log n as a new customer

Laska5772 · 13/10/2018 09:12

miffy and Writersblock That code isfor £20 off £100 but i think it also gives £10 off if you only spend £40 .. worth a go

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2018 09:42

Well my gorgeous charcoal cashmere jumper has arrived. Its utterly gorgeous so am keeping but this is now the second time they haven't sent me a cashmere comb. It says when you purchase it, you get a cashmere comb so off to email Angry

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2018 09:58

It is basically false advertising. So have emailed. Quite annoyed. If they don't want to include it, they shouldn't add it to your purchase automatically. [It goes automatically into your basket with the jumper] Its not even OOS. Its bloody well on their website for £3.99.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2018 10:02

Do you think white stuff are in trouble? They seem to be having way too many sales these days very close together. I haven't ordered anything from them for years but just noticed another email saying sale.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2018 10:03

I think they are... Just found this:

If you are looking for leather look leggings, I can’t recommend Sosander enough. Twice the price of the Next ones, but a different ball park altogether re quality. And they have a sort of fleecy lining. I am going to abandon my jeans search till I am properly into a 10, and live in these instead. Happily in love with them :). Disclosure - I do have a soft spot for Sosander as they took back a whole load of size 16s way (way!) past the returns period last year, let me swap them for size 14s (and honoured the discount I’d had on the original order) and sent me a lovely email. Their returns are really fast as well.

Ive not heard of Sosander cherries .. will look them up,
I went back onto Hush today thinking of reordering the Sintra and one of the reviews ( for a size10!) said exactly the same as me with regard to shoulder/ body ratio .. so its not just me ! .obviously its been designed in a way that is just a bit odd.. ( well for my body type anyway).
cherries i hope you didnt mind what I wrote about the 12s in the jeggings above , honestly you look great ! I just happen to like straights/looser rather than tight skinnies , ..
I would really recommend the Gap. mid rise classic straight jeans, have a coulpe of pairs now

HLBug · 13/10/2018 12:43

never that article is from 2012 so fingers crossed it's got better since then Wink I have a love/hate relationship with white stuff - some prints are lovely, but others are just hideous

Ellapaella · 13/10/2018 13:05

I really like Sosander, especially for dresses.
Re whitestuff @neveradullmoment99 I think they were taken over a couple of years ago which is when everything started to go down hill and the quality went down. I think I remember reading that somewhere.
About 10-12 years ago I loved** going into WS and I always wanted half the shop but when I was in my early 20's it was too expensive for me so it was a treat to buy anything in there.
The last couple of years it's not been the same though. I haven't seen anything in WS that's caught my eye at all. They used to do those lovely classic velvety/moleskin coats in beautiful colours but they don't have anything like that now.

ilovecherries · 13/10/2018 13:08

I didn’t mind at all, Laska! I asked for input as I wasn’t sure. I think I am probably firmly between sizes. Everything I try on I get the feedback (not just here, irl as well) that I need to try a size down. But when I do, I end up feeling slightly indecent about it and a bit exposed, even though it ostensibly ‘fits’. The advice ‘do you feel comfy in it’ just ends up confusing me, as I don’t actually feel ‘right’ in anything - still feel very self conscious now I’m no longer in huge baggy clothes, so I do need some firm ‘that doesn’t work’. Hopefully as time goes on I will have more confidence about it all. All I thought about during this weight loss process was how great it was going to be, in fact, I feel like I’ve moved into someone else’s house, and I don’t understand how anything works.

Thanks Laksa. I have to decide on what to buy to bring my basket up to £100...right now it's down to either the moon necklace or two pairs of their fab tights! (which they should really do in navy as well)

dontcallmelen · 13/10/2018 13:31

Cherries I think that happens a lot in life, we have goals/aspersions & think lots of things will then fall into place, but the reality is we are who we are, so we have to change our mindset/view of ourselves.
Maybe you need to try lots of different styles, from places that you may have never thought of, it’s hard to change from a sort of ‘uniform’ I’m the same I stick with stuff that, I feel suits me/comfortable ie skinny jeans/tops/dresses I never wear skirts or leggings or tunic style dresses/midi skirts they are to far out of my comfort zone, we should all experiment sometimes & mix it up, life is short.

DelphiniumBlue · 13/10/2018 15:15

Thinking this might be a good place to ask about Hush sizing- specifically the Morgan joggers. I'm usually a 16-18 ( smaller hips, bigger tummy), wondering should I go for L or XL?

ilovecherries · 13/10/2018 16:11

blue I haven’t tried the Morgan joggers but I had the Hayden’s last year and they look similar. I was a true apple shaped 16 at the time, and wore a large.

Hello all, I hope it's ok for me to join in Blush. I was registered on Mumsnet previously, I didn't post that often, but asked for my account to be removed when there was the data breach a few years back.

I've loved reading your Hush thread(s) and seeing what you're all buying., but not been registered I've not been able to comment, and I don't buy many exciting clothes so didn't feel I'd got anything useful to contribute.

I've been prompted to rejoin today, specifically so I can reply to Cherries comments at 13:08. Cherries, hope you don't mind me saying, but I've always thought that you look fantastic in the outfits you post. I lost almost 3 stone a few years ago and still look at myself in my "new" clothes and think that they don't look quite right.

I recently went to see a personal shopper (JL), there were quite a few things that I tried and thought looked too small/too tight etc. The lovely Personal Shopper (Laura) commented that I didn't see what others saw - i.e. I still thought of myself as a bigger person. I'm not sure if what I'm saying is in any way useful, but I thought I would share anyway.

On the topic of going to see a personal shopper, I'd highly recommend it. Laura picked lots of things that I wouldn't have thought to try on, but ended up loving. She also gave great (honest) advice in terms of fit.

DelphiniumBlue · 13/10/2018 17:57

Thanks Cherries that's helpful to know.

ilovecherries · 13/10/2018 18:06

Time, that’s lovely :). Thank you for delurking! Hope you stay now as well - you don’t have to be buying clothes - these threads have evolved and it’s more about loving and styling clothes rather than just buying hush. You’d be very welcome.

Well, the M&S cashmere jumpers are going straight back. Really disappointed in them. Nice quality, very soft but make me feel matronly and dowdy. Not quite long enough, not quite loose enough (and I sized up) and give me a massive shelf. Well, nature did that, but the jumpers haven’t helped the situation. Not even going to bother unwrapping the other colours.

Cherries I tried on a few jumpers in M &S the other day and was surprised how badly they hung, they did nothing for me at all. Was a bit disappointed as they looked lovely on the hanger.
Love the poodle! What his/her name?
