Ella I like the frill neck jumper also. But too expensive!

Laska5772 · 26/09/2018 08:48

fudge I have been I think so many things have been disappointing recently.. ( or like those boots turn out to be on wearing.) But my favourite things so far this season have been those Joules jumpers ! Though I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear from the Hush wide tops and Ivy . I reckon I am pretty much wearing the same look) style as last year..

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 10:33

Today I am wearing next coated leggings in wine and a navy top from Cos - almost identical in shape to the wide jersey tops but the back of this one is silk crepe, and the front is a fine jersey. Black gazelles and a Cos necklace. I’m vacillating between thinking I look good and thinking I look ridiculous and that the coated leggings need to immediately go on ebay.

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 10:35

My top half is ok, at least, and I’m tele-comming most of the day so that’s the bit that matters, I guess.

Ellapaella · 26/09/2018 10:47

Cherries your outfit sounds very cool. I bet you look amazing.

Sounds definitely a cool outfit cherries. Enjoy the feeling. Remember. You probably wouldn't have worn anything like itlast yearSmile

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 26/09/2018 11:30

Outfit sounds fab cherries! Can I ask you a coated legging question - I’ve bought a pair but not worn yet. Do they stop being noisy after a while? I’m very aware of squeaking in them when I move...

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 11:40

I’m not aware of mine being noisy after they warm up, but to be honest, my gazelles are the noisiest shoes I’ve ever worn, their squeaking drowns everything else out.

Re the leggings, not sure how tight they are meant to be though. They were smooth when I put them on, but now they are warm they have a lot of crinkles in them. I don’t think they are too big.

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 11:43

laska, that’s certainly true. Last year at this point I was just starting to emerge from my ‘does it cover me/is it clean stage’! I know I’ve said this before, but I do worry sometimes that just because I CAN wear something, doesn’t mean it’s a good look. I read other threads on here and the casual ageism and insults are so horrible and so widespread that it makes me feel that I should be making myself invisible.

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 11:45

Crinkles. Not a flattering angle or range!

Just seen the tiger face sweat. Didn't notice that yesterday..

EachandEveryone · 26/09/2018 16:14

Ive just been in John Lewis and it was very uninspiring. The colours just looked dull. I’m really not into spending loads of money it’s nearly Christmas. Anthropology have a great sale on and I bought a lovely suit jacket from there.

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 16:58

What do you all think about having your colours ‘done’? I went to an HoC consultant last year and it felt like a total swizzle - rushed, formulaic and didn’t take account of my likes and dislikes. All the ‘summer’ colours that are meant to be my ‘wow’ colours are either impossible to find or feel quite frumpy. The intention was to use it to create my new wardrobe, but in fact I’ve bought mainly clothes that are absolutely not in my wallet. Wondering if I am missing a trick though. (Looking lustfully at the green velvet blazer, which is def not one of ‘my’ colours).

EachandEveryone · 26/09/2018 17:21

£40 today I love it

I think its a swizz laska. I do remember one person that had her colours done and looked amazing in e things she wore but i do think it was more to do with her having a good eye than having her colours done. I have tried to do my own but i Hate someone telling me what i cant wear. It ids all so subjective and can change if you colour your hair or have a tan!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/09/2018 17:54

Cherries not laska!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/09/2018 17:55

Btw, the leggings look fine. They do go that way.

ilovecherries · 26/09/2018 18:11

never And given I change my hair on a daily basis, that will def be a challenge Grin!
each, lovely jacket.

Laska5772 · 26/09/2018 18:42

I also think its a moneymaking swizz Cherries . You have a fab style, and I think having 'critical friends' to tel you what looks good helps . We have this here i think..people in this group do seem to be able to say it i like it is in the nicest way .

,Next photo coming up will be me in the Hush onesie!) no not really I know id look like a Teletubby !

The things I have bought and wear have changed since being here .. Id have never worn slip on trainers for example , not sweats with logos on.. let alone dresses like the Ivy..
I'm pleased ( and a bit flattered ) to say that I'm known in our office as a bit of a style icon now ( this is not meant as a boast and I am by far the oldest by about 15yrs!and much more ! I dont think they are just being nice either ..)

Each love the jacket.. i love green , but somehow have not had much of it in my wardrobe..I actually wanted an emerald green wedding dress but it didnt happen . ( Laska eyes up the green velvet jacket and skirt)

Laska5772 · 26/09/2018 18:43

each see above , forgot to highlight your name.. jacket is Fabby..

Laska5772 · 26/09/2018 18:46

Boden trainers came today They are Luvverley..

I took my black boots back .. so I suppose I can now justify keeping the trainers

EachandEveryone · 26/09/2018 18:51

There was an amazing green velvet sofa it Anthropologie. I would love to work there just so I could touch everything. I can’t believe how expensive it is in there and in clothes shops in general these days. Usually on payday I’m happy to blow a couple of hundred quid but not now. It could also be to do with the fact that my wages have dropped this month so I better get myself back to work next week Wink

Laska5772 · 26/09/2018 19:11

I am going to give the Green Esme skirt a go , (even taking into consideration Talisins good point about the Next one above). have sized up as Hush says the waist comes up small ( and that is my problem area) . So I went for the 16!! (cripes , I was hoping the days of sz 16 had gone)

Laska5772 · 26/09/2018 19:16

Each! Bad girl for showing us a new site to browse ..I love these jeans

neveradullmoment99 · 26/09/2018 19:17

Looks lovely @Laska. What colour did you go for? I have ordered the velvet wide legs just to see. They are the green velvet. They should arrive tomorrow.
