Can I have your approval or disapproval of this outfit for a meal with friends tomorrow night?

It's just round at the local, kids in tow.

I'm always scared to wear loose fitting tops as I feel they make me look big (used to be overweight and lost the weight).

Some of the girls going are that really effortlessly stylish types and I certainly wouldn't put myself in that category.

Looking for a casual but well put together feel.

Also wondering if sandals & a jumper is a bit weird?

I vote for outfit 1 because if you get too hot rushing about after kids you can take the jumper off. Not the bag though.

Both outfits are lovely and I also like the bag!

Khaki gazelles would go with the bag better than the black sandals but then that would be better with a different colour top under the jumper

Honestly? I think you look really lovely in both outfits. For soft play I would go for the first one, but with different shoes/boots. Have a lovely time and stop being so hard on yourself!

Both outfits look really lovely to me - very stylish. Definitely keep the pinafore, even if you don't wear it on this occasion! I'm voting for outfit 2 - it's bang on for this time of year and very in keeping with current styles. Wear either with black flats or khaki gazelles.

Both outfits great, outfit 2 is more AW18 so I'd go with that, but I love the jumper in the first outfit. And you have a fab body, TBH you'd look good in anything.

Can I just say when I meet my friends I don't care a hoot what they are wearing, I want to see my friend, not her clothes and I am sure your friends feel the same about you. Don't overthink it!

You look great either way but I love outfit 2. It's a fab outfit and I think it's great to have in your wardrobe as can be dressed up/down and also useful in different weather!

First outfit was nice too. Nothing wrong with it at all. People over analyse any photo posted on here so I wouldn't take any criticisms to heart. You look really good, you can wear anything.
