WTF is going on with jeans this season?

I’m traumatised. Just come back from jeans shopping. WTF is going on with denim this season? I’m 38. I don’t want the following:

1. Ripped jeans.
2. Jeans with raw freyed hems.
3. Acid wash jeans in pale blue or faded black.
4. Frumpy high waisted jeans that kind of sag on the waist/ stomach.

I tried Oasis (blurch), Top Shop (f’ me, I feel old in there), M&S (don’t get me started on the dreadful layout, lack of sizes in store), John Lewis (too expensive), Cos and Other Stories and some offer shops.

All I want is a dark denim, straight leg jean that suits large hips and thigh (14). I don’t want jeggings or to look like an early 90’s American soccer mom.

Go to Tesco.

Whenever I’ve tried Tesco jeans they just sag after first wear and look a mess.

Matalan! I got a gorgeous pair there recently, v flattering.

Just don't go too dark. Dark jeans might look a bit dated I think. If you're not able for bootleg or flared or cropped jeans, go for a straight length mid rinse jean. Loads of those about.

Matalan (cheap) or Debenhams (costs more but lots of styles)
I've got some lovely skinny jeans drom Rocha John Rocha and I usually hate skinny jeans. They are very comfy.

I'm also struggling trying to find a pair that cover my bloody ankles!

The only place I find good jeans these days is new look, although I haven't shopped for jeans in months as pregnant 😂

Synecdoche- yes! Everything is an ankle grazer (although I’m a short arse so they are just regular length on me).

I got dark denim, straight leg jeans in a Gap outlet for £6! They were reduced to £10 and then everything in store was 40% off.

M&Co. And go down a size.

Sainsbury usually do really good jeans.

I haven't looked recently, but they often have shaping ones that are skinny-ish.

I quite like TopShop jeans, but their current ones ('mom' style?) re appallingly buttock-flattening.

Asda/George have bootcut, skinny, straight, and in short, standard and long length. They also have a range of denim shades.

tesco ....but the contour range, I wore my last pair for days on the trot just to see if they would go elephant knees and they did not.

I had fresh pants and aired them...it was just an experiment!

I rate the Next £22 jeans as well. The colour does fade but for £20 you can't moan.

I love next jeans! I'm lear shaped and they are e good for me. I like the 360 ones
