Any autumns around?

I've done a search but it's a bit tricky with so many threads about autumn fashion!

There used to be quite an active thread for autumns so I wondered if anyone is still around :)

I'm eyeing up this mustard lace jumper from Matalan. They have quite a lot of mustard in at the moment, and a few teal bits too.

I love that colour Leslie!
I may have just purchased this (typically navy) gorgeous Jigsaw jumper:

The buttons are brown! That counts right? Grin

I'm a warm deep autumn, I wear a lot of orange, red, green, brown. I love tan/ beige shoes and bags.

teta · 20/09/2018 10:06

I’ve just ordered some tan and brown suede jeans from Brand Alley. It will be interesting to see whether I feel and look ok in them. Have a pair of 8 year old tan OTK Duo boots ( a bit distressed now) that I could wear with them. Having said skinny’s were over everything in winter seems to be skinny legged. I guess they go with all the slouchy jumpers around at the moment.
Leslie that jumper is lovely. Wombat I have a really similar Navy jumper in Cotton from Jigsaw. It’s really useful as it goes with all colours.

TheWombat · 20/09/2018 10:12

Teta I’m not ready to give up skinny jeans yet, they are practical and they suit me better than ‘mom’ jeans which utterly fail to make me look like a hipster. They just give me a massive arse and make my legs look short Confused

thereisnorinbath · 25/09/2018 16:36

Anybody seen any good warm, short length coats/jackets? I have a long winter coat that I love, but could do with a short one too. TIA :-)

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 25/09/2018 17:08

I bought the Matalan jumper today as I was passing the shop anyway. It's really nice.

I have a rust padded jacket from Next. It feels cosy, but I haven't worn it in wintery weather yet. They had some nice ones in other colours too.

I looking in vain for some long tan boots .

TheWombat · 25/09/2018 18:24

Speckledy I bought some lovely ones in a Boden sale about 5 years ago and they’re still going strong. That might be a good place to look. I really rate Boden shoes in general.

SpeckledyHen · 25/09/2018 19:00

Thanks Wombat but already tried there :(

teta · 25/09/2018 19:15

I have a pair from Duo that are years old and have been reheeled many times.

SpeckledyHen · 25/09/2018 19:28

There is only one Duo pair that I like but from the reviews I know they will be too narrow .

CaseStudyResearch · 25/09/2018 21:23

I mainly suit tomato red, ochre, rust/copper and khaki. I'm buying navy & berry for my bottom half.

Has anyone seen anything in tomato red shades on the high street? I've just ordered a tomato knit dress from ASOS with 20% off.

2LittleMonkeysJumpingOnMyHead · 25/09/2018 21:46

Hello, another autumn here. Soft, I think.
I’m particularly keen to find a pair of trousers in a dark autumn colour, and some different tights to the brown (and navy Blush)

LardLizard · 26/09/2018 08:20

Marking place to add a few bits later

BettySundaes · 26/09/2018 17:44

Vibrant Autumn here. Had my colours done a year or so ago and gradually getting rid of grey/black. I have some wow colours but they are mainly the really bright ones and I struggle with the neutrals. Only the marine navy works for me but its a bugger to find. I bought a lot of teal last year so bit fed up of that. Chocolate brown isn't the best on me either and camel looks a bit sickly. Going shopping at the weekend anyone want to steer me towards any particular shops. I bought a lot of teal last year so bit fed up of that.

thereisnorinbath · 29/09/2018 09:32

Had a day shopping yesterday - there are a couple of tops in Jigsaw in our elusive blue! Also bought a gold strappy dress from Urban Outfitters and a kingfisher jumper from Benetton - neither of which I can find links to, sorry.

LagoDiComo · 29/09/2018 10:01

Massimo Dutti have this jumper in tan and khaki

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 29/09/2018 18:23

Has anyone seen any trousers in autumn colours?

MassDebate · 30/09/2018 08:28

I’ve been eying up some trousers from Anthropologie Cat, they have quite a few options in Autumn colours

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 30/09/2018 09:11

I found these which I love, but unfortunately they are out of stock in my size: www.newlook.com/uk/womens/clothing/jeans/rust-corduroy-high-rise-super-skinny-dahlia-jeans-/p/587631624?comp=NewLookRecentlyViewedComponent

The anthropologie ones look lovely, massdebate, but a bit out of budget unfortunately

teta · 01/10/2018 09:46

I bought some coated Merlot or raisin ( not sure what name they’re called) skinny’s by Nydj from BrandAlley. I really like the colour and fit but did size up a bit.

WhenDoISleep · 01/10/2018 13:04

I'm a blue autumn leaf according to HOC. I tend to stick within my colour palette, but I do find it hard finding clothes I actually like in a suitable colour. I find prints quite hard too, as there is often a colour included that isn't an autumn shade.

I quite fancy a teal cord skirt for the winter - I have seen a couple on websites but i wondered if anyone had bought something similar recently they can recommend?

fleuriepeninsula · 01/10/2018 20:01

Has anyone got any good recommendations for opaque tights online? I want to order some brown and navy tights but M&S/Next have a pretty dismal selection.

TheCatFromOuterSpace · 02/10/2018 08:23

fleur these cable knit ones look nice : m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0671622001.html
