So I'm going to need a black and a tan pair I reckon.

What's everyone buying/lusting after?

I bought some M&S black chelsea boots last year (that I still love) and got some tan lace-ups today (even though I'm still on No Spend August, I was worried they'd all go)
I bought black lace ups two winters ago , so I'm sorted for now

M&S do great non-leather shoes.

But y'know this year is Cowboy Boots ? Wink

Greyhound22 · 25/08/2018 18:05

Oh no is it!? I'm not a fan 😬

I have fat face flat Chelsea boots they're very comfortable am on third pair as they're very versatile

RaggieDolls · 25/08/2018 18:13

Signing in. I'm tempted by tan suede with a small heel.

Haven't started looking in earnest yet. I just noticed these on a lot of the models as retailers have started emailing A/W

Ellapaella · 25/08/2018 18:23

I just bought these this afternoon. They were quite cheap from a local shoe boutique in my high street. Not sure how hard wearing they will be but actually they were just what I'd been looking for - a Chelsea boot with just a small heel in suede. They are the colour I wanted as well.
Have also bought a pair of black suede ankle boots with a chunky heel. I like a couple of different colours for different outfits and need them fairly flat as I do a lot if walking with dc for school runs etc.

Those are nice Ella - what I'm after really. I'm no good in heels but fed up of wearing completely flat shoes

Something from here.

Gah81 · 25/08/2018 18:40

Got myself these in tan the other day. Perfect - especially at £37.50!

My colleague is adamant that tartan boots will be in this year... thoughts please.

aperolspritzplease · 25/08/2018 18:52

Sainsbury's. I have had their tan Chelsea boots for he last three years and just picked up this years and they have nice brogue detailing.

Tartan Boots Shock

Micheal Kors (in the magazines I was perusing, I am not a fashionista) was mixing different tartan colours .
There was also tartan with florals but in the same colourway.

I've seen a load of check (houndstooth, Burberry type) boots
And there's a ton of animal ( leopard, snake ,zebra and mixing animal prints)

A pair of Black Watch tartan ankle boots might be nice though....goes off on search...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/08/2018 09:19

Ooh Harris Tweed ..

The velvet ones look nice but I'd imagine after 2 wears they'd be scuffed to death

madvixen · 26/08/2018 09:33

I'm lusting after some tartan boots from Next

I think I'll need a bit more convincing about the tartan....

Any recommendations for boots that look stylish but wear well and you don't have to panic if it ends up raining (or even if you end up in a field on countryside)?

I've got the Fat Face Newham (Chelsea style) boots that I adore, but they're suede and I can't really go off roads or pavements as they get damaged.

Badumdumdum · 26/08/2018 10:28

I want a pair of black slouchy ankle boots, or victorian lace up style, to wear both at work and on my days off walking around lots with my 3 year old. And pref ones hat won't get ruined on my cycling commute. And are waterproof. Tbh tartan or leopard print would be great too.
I think i might be asking for too much.

Ellapaella · 26/08/2018 11:44

I want DM's but they'll have to be a Christmas present. I like the cherry red ones.

NewUserNameTime · 26/08/2018 15:14

I've still got cute black leather Chelsea boots from last year. However I would love a tan pair this year for versatility!

WrenDouglas · 26/08/2018 15:27

I really like the Howdy ankle boots from Russell & Bromley but not sure if I’m brave enough to wear them!
I would really like a similar boot without the western buckles for wearing to work in autumn though ...

Ikeameatballs · 26/08/2018 17:55

I love those kitten heel tartan boots!

I need some boots with a low heel for work, would like black, grey or plum. I also love fly London biker style with jeans/casual.

Squ1ggle · 26/08/2018 18:28

I bought these boots recently (although not from this site) and I've been really pleased www.naylors.com/barbour-ladies-abigail-ankle-boots-black?gclid=Cj0KCQjwn4ncBRCaARIsAFD5-gXoqcnNGlU9WgqK1-mkDzVP9ZSFi2nldDjHy1PaDxkLzGvmwkUyh-0aArNlEALw_wcB

bloopitybloop · 26/08/2018 19:31

I have Fitfflop leather boots that are soooooo ridiculously comfy and a pair of tan Chelsea fitflop ankle boots as well. Highly recommend

CakeInMyFace · 26/08/2018 19:50

@bloopitybloop which fitflop ones have you got? I'm recovering from a nasty broken ankle injury and Fitflop will be good as they have the same motion as the orthopedic boot I'm in. No heels for me for a long long time!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2018 20:00

I have so many pairs of boots that I can't really justify another pair. I quite fancy a pair of subtle brown cowboy boots though, or these babies.

bloopitybloop · 26/08/2018 20:03

@CakeInMyFace I have these Fitflop Ff-Lux Knee Boots Black 4 UK www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZGUZ964/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5JVGBbF7ZR9Y8?tag=mumsnetforum-21

And FitFlopâ„¢ SUPERCHELSEAâ„¢ Ladies Leather Chelsea Boots Dark Tan UK 5 www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074SY4PSK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_PKVGBb0E0SYTF?tag=mumsnetforum-21

I pretty much lived in these two last winter - same with me I can’t do heels and I have a longish walk to the tube station and from tube station to work so confort is key for me
