So I'm going to need a black and a tan pair I reckon.

What's everyone buying/lusting after?

I got these for Christmas last year and I love them - they are soft leather and don't take any breaking in, which DM boots usually do.

I got some amazing Hudson Apisi boots in black suede last year that I've lived in. I've just bought some lace up ones in brown from Clarks - lace up and cowboy seem to be everywhere.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall those blue dms are beautiful, I'm going for black just so they are more versatile.
How does the soft leather bear up?
I'm worried they might scuff or get worn out quicker than the normal ones.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/08/2018 21:18

I like those, Koko.

Case - I've got some Hudsons and they are things of beauty, but not very comfortable. Fine for a shopping trip or meal out, but not great for a day on my feet at work, or for days with much walking.

love the look of the FitFlop boots. How are they around the ankles? I have very large cankles and often ankle boots are just too tight to walk/sit comfortably. :(

Waitingtomove · 28/08/2018 21:32

Love these, got them last winter and they still look brand new, small heel but still really comfy

I got both of these, this is my third pair of the lace up one. I bloody love them 😂

Following with interest, I had ordered the Barbour boots mentioned earlier in the thread but I had to send them back as they were so wide I looked like I'd borrowed my Dad's shoes!

So I'm after a slim fitting, leather ankle boot, smart enough to wear about town but also tough enough to use on walks at home (we live in the countryside).

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/08/2018 22:05

Time - are those brown lace ups from Clarks? I think I've got them in black but I struggle to know what to wear them with.

MrsEricBana · 28/08/2018 22:18

Those tartan boots! (faints, and not in a good way)

No I got them originally from zalando now they only do them on Amazon as far as I know. I wear them with jeans turned up at the bottom and anything on top really. I'm a big fan of shirts especially check ones, they go well. They just go with most things really. I never really buy black boots because I struggle to find things to wear with them.

Cowboy boots were "in" last Autumn and I bought a gorgeous red pair and I think they're back again this Autumn/Winter. I'm after some like this ... Smile

Time - MIne work with opaues and mini skirts, but I haven't been able to make them work with much else. They have a tendency to look a bit witchy in black.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 29/08/2018 12:53

JillyArmeen

I suspect the soft leather won't last as well as normal DMs, i.e. years and years, but I won't wear them every day so hopefully they'll bear up pretty well - so far so good.
