Oh dear. Just as well you said that. Mine is a dryer as well. Maybe not then...

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 19:33

Sure you could! How would you do yours if you did?

You could start out with a paler colour (such as vintage blue) for the first overall colour and then tie dye with a navy over colour perhaps? .. could be really funky !

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 19:35

They do hand wash dyes also ..never
or if you want to send them to me ill do them for you !

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2018 19:43

ha ha ha......That's so kind of you but I quite fancy the excitement! I might just do it in a bucket [ the dying that is!]

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2018 19:45

I have asked the dryer question on amazon to see if anyone can advise if it can be used in a washer dryer.

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 19:51

I am quite excited about the idea of tie dye Amies now..

But iI cannot buy any more .. what would the postlady say ?

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 19:53

Perhaps I could start on slub Ts.....

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 19:57

when dyeing anything though , always remember that the thread will not dye, (its bound to be polyester) so if its black or dark you are fine, but if pale or white, then that will show up the same colour on the finished dyed article

dontcallmelen · 23/08/2018 20:05

Laska Please please tie dye something, I love tie dye I have an AEG washer/dryer so have always been a bit afraid of machine dying, so haven’t done any since I’ve had this machine.

dontcallmelen · 23/08/2018 20:06

Each love those boots yy mixing expensive & cheaper items is the way to go.

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 20:08

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 20:12

Ha ha ha someone on ebay is trying to sell some for £38.99 !!

SoyYo · 23/08/2018 20:44

Hellooo sorry I’ve gone AWOL it’s just been manic work nonstop and I have another call to join at 9pm
Loving all your dye projects laska and even more the cashmere jumpers: truly beautiful on you Smile
dave i also loved that pink coat in the last thread.
each and the leopard booties!

Also all the other pics!

So it’s getting late but my Hush parcel which arrived yesterday didn’t get opened till today (yes that busy!) and then as I was Finally opening boss called again! can a girl get no peace by the time I tried light is low so will post pics tomorrow.

First impressions: fur coat black in 12. Fits really nicely. Lovely Fur. I like but it may be my total lust for fake fur that’s clouding my judgement...DH liked too.
RocknRoll sweat in M sitting on the fence. Great quality just not sure it flatters me.
Carpe Diem T meh. Not worth £35. £20 yes but not in ❤️ So a return.
Twisted dress (black with gold threads) look like an orphan from Annie’s musical in it. It’s a 12 and very roomy. Sleeves too long for my petite frame. Cotton scratchy. Size down if you want to try but not a shape for me. Going back

Right I’ve got to join last work TC now so speak tomorrow!!

ilovecherries · 23/08/2018 20:57

What size do you think I might need in the boat neck cashmere, Laska? Do they have extra boob space on you - can’t really see? I’m wondering if I should go for XL, but I don’t like the rib being baggy at the bottom.

Brummiegirl15 · 23/08/2018 21:02

So, did my trying on sesh in JL.

Jesus Christ, I could've cried, most of the stuff I tried on, I look bloody hideous, fat and horrible with my pouchy Mum tum really being shown off.

Tried on the tansy dress, which on the hanger I loved, on me, hell no!!! Peek a boo top just looked slutty mcslutty.

Emmanuelle dress, god awful, I looked HUGE!! Will add pic. Lurex skirt. Nope. Too short and too fat.

However I did try on the Atlas wrap shirt. Which I loved, and I think looked ok. Thoughts? Will post a pic

Brummiegirl15 · 23/08/2018 21:03

Atlas shirt and Emmanuelle dress (which is a big fat no)

I really like the atlas shirt on you. Definitely a keeper. The colour is also lovely. It looks really good with your jeans. I don't like the shininess of the Emanuelle dress. Its the reason I returned the Giselle midi dress in the summer range. I don't think the shape flatters your figure and clearly you have a good figure by the first photo. It is the dress - it is shapeless on you imo.

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 21:14

cherries i'd still go for the L if i were you. The Black is slightly larger than the pink on me .. it is more lightweight than a mid-winter knit (deep south mid-minter !! Lol) , but lovely and soft and will be warm Ii think I didnt find that at all see through (The pink is slightly more so but is warm . I didn't have it on long today!) , it got pretty warm here after about 11am .I think they are worth the money, but definitely a more 'luxury' item than say, John Lewis cashmere .

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 21:16

I really like the Atlas on you brummieand the colour looks fab on you . Iagree with never on the dress .I tried one similar from Hush last season and it made me look like a rectangle!

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2018 21:18

Soyo Sounds like its been a bit of a mixed bag for you.
Cannot wait to see you in the lovely faux fur coat :)
Pity about the tee but at £35 you have to love it.
I think I may feel the same way about the tiger tee when it comes tomorrow. I cannot imagine you not suiting the rock n roll sweat. I am sure the colour must look amazing on you.
Twisted dress a real disappointment by the sound of it. Good for your bank balance no doubt. A bit shocked at the texture but I can almost imagine it when I look a the dress. Is it an almost brushed cotton?Next do a similar one if you remember. Maybe its worth a punt and much cheaper.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2018 21:19

A rectangle!!! @Laska..you do make me laugh!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2018 21:19

Its really strange how the shape of a dress/top can instantly unflatter someones figure and look fantastic on others.

Brummiegirl15 · 23/08/2018 21:23

Thanks both never and Laska my youngest is only 10 months so I am still feeling the "Mum of 2" tum plus as I'm breastfeeding, the norks are enormous!!! That dress. Christ, it was awful. But good to know I'm not the only one.

Think I'm defo going to order Atlas with the discount code and probably the ruched modal skirt as well. I start back at work after mat leave in 3 weeks and trying to feel more me! But being so short, I struggle with skirts and dresses

Brummiegirl15 · 23/08/2018 21:25

I love the faces t-shirt, I just can't help feeling £35 is a crazy amount of money for a t-shirt. £20/25 then I'd be straight in there

The Atlas shirt also works well for me as I'll be expressing when I return to work so easy access. What's not to love!

Laska5772 · 23/08/2018 22:00

soy Looking forward to the photos ..
Not expecting any parcels from anyone tomorrow.. ( but I may be out anyway when Postlady arrives) Grin

I dohave the wide leg trousers coming next week thanks to Never's enabling.. then I will decide whether to keep the sz10 Winonas or not (but they do fit really well and are flattering i think)
