Wasn’t going to order it but the green wide top looks fab in every picture so far so I’m going to order it with the leopard print leggings. Also going to try the grey vneck but not sure I love the grey, would prefer if it was charcoal.

I still need some skinny jeans but no ones said anything about the Hush ones so maybe they’re not that great. Think I’ll hold off on those for a bit and wait for reviews. They are so much money I think for jeans but I love my frayed star ones loads that I want them to be lovely.

Caved and also ordered the leopard leggings and green wide top!

My Hush Brand Alley order has shipped so that was a pleasant surprise! I’ll let you know what I think of the cashmere jumpers on receipt.

ella you’re being super sensible returning the parka. It did look great too, but understand the reasons. You can always change your mind again at sale time, last one they reduced all the parkas well under the £100 mark and many sizes left in stock.

info I have the Hush Holly skinnies they’re fine at sale price but not my best skinnies ever. never returned, I think they are lovely but we all tend to concur they’re too expensive so best to wait till sale time to try.

I can’t remember when I joined the thread but remember lurking for a few months, i think it was late last year? in any case by then I had been into Hush for a couple of years. This thread has helped me lots with suggestions on styling (never ) and also avoiding mistakes. I don’t think I spend any more than I did before though, but it has moved my allegiances more I guess. I am very pushed for time with my work and don’t have energy/time to go shopping in RL often. I’ve always ordered online and returned lots and it tended to be the usual Hush, Boden, Hobbs, Uniglo, Zara, etc. I like that we can post links on whatever we find and love. You girls do an awful lot of leg work finding dupes and interesting accessories and honestly the thread helps me no end and saves a lot of internet browsing which I spend posting here instead!

Plus for entertainment value and sisterly support I’ve never found a better MN thread, totally non judgemental, welcoming and inclusive. Long may it continue

Ok so back home .I picked up the 2nd pair of M&S leopard leggings and I am now dyeing them burgundy! ( yep there is no stopping me!)

The plum M&S cardi i linked to above ( which had a couple of poor reviews ) I really liked but it comes up very big.. I have ordered the small and also in the grey as I liked that also .. its sort of 'matted shaggy dog' (sounds great eh?) but really cosy and I think will wear really well ,and work over an Ivy dress. Anyway not wool ( and not £140 Jigsaw quality - which of course is going to be a lot nicer) but nice , and at £35 each I think definitely worth it .

I also found a lovely vaguely animal print grey scarf in Tkmaxx for £5.99 ! .

Ok so the Emmanuel has arrived. Not tried adding pics before so here goes. I really, really like it, but it does puff out at my widest area and make my hips look bigger. It's so wearable though! I'm sure it would be one a work staple. Great length.
Tried on the Yasmin again as I haven't sent it back yet . Looking at these pics I'm wondering if it's actually a bit more flattering than the Emmanuel? Not as easy to thrown on for any occasion though I think.

@Huff they both look really good and to don’t think the Emmanuel accentuates your hips at all. Overall prefer the Emmanuel on you .

Ella yes parka is lovely but i know what you mean about the hood. I tried the fire parka last winters sale , and it was just impossible . . I did buy a Musto parka in TKmaxx which is great , both waterproof and warm but again the hood is so big.. Ive worried that i may actually step out in front of a car , sometimes when i have worn it up.

@Nearlyadoctor it's all that extra fabric from the pockets which doesn't help. I do love the pockets though so not sure if I'd change that. The weight from the extra fabric at the bottom makes the whole dress hang nicely.

Huff love you in the Emmanuel, it looks so pretty on you 😍 more than the Yasmin actually which is far more difficult to style and not really a “work” dress. Really suits you!

Thanks SoYoI’ve actually just been to my local Tesco and bought the star jumper that I think Ella had a picture of and a pair of skinny black jeans that I think she also recommended. If they fit ok I’ll leave the Hush ones till the next sale.

I love this thread so much, it’s introduced me to clothes I wouldn’t have dreamt of wearing like leopard print leggings. I’m nearly 50 on the outside but on the inside I’m 30 yrs younger and my uniform of jeans and boring t shirts hasn’t changed much in that time.

I can’t wait to get my Majestic star trainers from Brand Alley. Fingers crossed they do fit me or I think I’ll cry.

@Laska5772 think I may have missed the M & S cardi link - interested though - I'm a knitwear fiend and love a cosy knit!
@Huffthepuff both dresses look gorgeous on you, really nice. I love the longer dress with the biker jacket, goes really well together.
