Love that Jigsaw cardigan - My Sabrina from last year still has the label on!! I knew at the time I shouldn’t have bought it, desperately wanted the dark grey but only the pale was available so bought it anyway Blush

It is a classic , (the jigsaw cardi) but I note that model is 5'10 and its long on her. Ella not sure how tall you are but im 5'6 (nearly) I think id like to go to see it in the store for the length ( a good excuse for a trip to Chichester).... But then they do have free returns.. Ill think about it when I get paid and have paid off my this months card.

Laska5772 · 27/08/2018 20:22

It doesn't look like Jigsaw have all their AW stock on line yet but I like a lot of e what I see already.. (there looks to be a red 'big buttoned' cardi or jumper I am definitely interested in .)

Laska5772 · 27/08/2018 20:24

the red jumper shown here with this necklace (this jumper doesn't seem to be available on their website yet but hoping it may come in )

Nearlyadoctor · 27/08/2018 20:27

I really rate Jigsaw knitwear - I’ve a couple of jumpers ( bought in previous sales) that I’ve washed worn and worn . No loss of shape, stretching or shrinkage.

Jigsaw has some great stuff in. I really like the look of cropped wide leg trousers and think they would work in winter with a big chunky knit. But what shoes would you wear with a pair of cropped trousers? Would it be boots? Would a pair of DM's or similar work do you think? Or would it have to be trainers and then suffer from cold ankles? And do you think you need to be slim with a flat tummy to pull it off? They look fantastic on the tall skinny models but I have quite a lower pouch having had 2 C sections and my stomach is far from shapely.
So many questions I know but anyone got any thoughts?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/08/2018 20:41

I wear cropped black wide trousers with fishnets and trainers in Autumn, when it's not really cold. I'm little and rounder than I've ever been at a size 14, but I'm of the, "Wear what the heck you want"stage of life! I haven't found a pair of boots that works with mine.

Laska5772 · 27/08/2018 20:51

How about something like these boots ella? with some chunky tights or opaques?

I also love these boots .. may be changing my alliance from Hush here

(I am just so tempted just to order that charcoal cardi btw .. the more i look at it , the more I just love it). I have a lovely Jigsaw reversible cashmere jumper from some years ago - grey one side and bright pink the other , and a skirt I am currently hoping to get back into if i can lose another stone

Ellapaella · 27/08/2018 20:54

Fishnet tights with trainers is a great idea. These pictures look great but wearing a heeled shoe just wouldn't work for me in winter, it would just be totally impractical. I would really like to try something a bit different trouser-wise this winter. Maybe not cropped jeans necessarily but there are some nice cropped wide leg chinos on the jigsaw site.

Yeah those boots would work @Laska5772 - there are lots of similar ones around.
I think you should order the cardigan, I can't imagine for a minute you'll regret it, it's a real investment piece.

Ellapaella · 27/08/2018 20:57

Heels shoes in the first picture are impractical is what I meant, not the heeled boots. I might have a mooch round the shops next weekend and try some stuff on.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/08/2018 20:57

Grey/pink cardigan sounds incredible.

Nearlyadoctor · 27/08/2018 21:02

If you do order it Laska Please give us some feedback.

Oh, I saw the Jigsaw dark grey cardigan today - it is lovely, but I thought it was relatively heavy.

Laska5772 · 27/08/2018 21:12

Those boots are navy though Ella 😍😍😍. Love a navy boot ....Its not my birthday until December.. but I may point DH towards them now !! --by December he'll have forgotten he already bought me something!!

oh heck this thread is just SO enabling

Laska5772 · 27/08/2018 21:15

Im off this week so I may have a day out to Chichester ..(ill call them first to see if they have it, otherwise Winchester is just as easily doable and a nice day out.. JL in Southampton probably wont have it as its a concession)
Where did you see the cardi Fanny ?

Laska5772 · 27/08/2018 21:20

ooh....I have a £20 Hush 'mention me' ! Thanks pirate

So Grey Nana jumper?( I love it on you nearly ) or wait and see ? it looks like the code only lasts 2 months

ilovecherries · 27/08/2018 21:24

I have a grey merino kimono sleeve cardi from kettlebell that I’ve never worn. The first time I put it on I worried that it made me look as if I was away to do some martial arts. I haven’t bought any a/W stuff yet, but looking around I think my allegiance may be wavering a little.

ilovecherries · 27/08/2018 21:26

The grey nana is lovely, my friends clubbed together to but it for my birthday. I loved it, but never wore it as much as the green.

Watchingtheworldgoby · 27/08/2018 21:33

Did anybody try the Trina yet? I am tempted by it......

GinandGingerBeer · 27/08/2018 22:24

Just had a good catch up. Loving all the pics and links have ordered the long line vests from dunnes, one in black, two in white.
Gutted that the star trainers are now OOS in brand alley, what a bargain. Although I once ordered an orla kiely bag from there and it took bloody months to arrive so I did vow never again but have to say, I'd have been prepared to give them a second chance Wink
I know what you mean about the Kensington, even though it's me who has it in the star print, it's a fine line on frump but I loved it on you @neveradullmoment99, I think with a black biker and boots, it'd look amazing.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/08/2018 22:29

awwww thank you. Am still thinking about keeping it!!! Its still wrapped in my wardrobe. May pull it on and try it on. Thanks for the lovely comment. I keep going on the hush website and i really love it on the model. I agree, it is a fine line on frump. I think it needs careful styling.

FannyAdmin · 27/08/2018 22:48

Laska, it was in John Lewis. I noticed it because I'd tried on a similar Fat Face one. I'd like something similar but lighter in weight I think.

Gilbert82 · 28/08/2018 07:08

I went and had a look at the new collection in Cambridge JL over the weekend, they had quite a lot in. Some of the knitwear is lovely but so so expensive!
That Jigsaw cardigan is lovely, not sure I can justify over £100 on it at the moment though Sad but would be interested in hearing your thoughts on it @Laska5772 if you go into a store!

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 08:10

Well my orders on it ways and should be delivered today according to tracking.
@Laska5772 - I remembered last night I had a pair of unworn wide leg high waist black trousers in my wardrobe, last night I took them up 6 inches so they are now cropped. Have tried them and they look good with a heel, I might post a picture later for honest opinions. I've also ordered a pair of wide leg crop jeans from La Redoute - in the sale and with 30% off they cost £14 so if they are hideous it doesn't really matter!
