I have absolutely had enough of badly fitting pumps

M&S
Aldo
French Sole
Clarks
Primark

I’m looking at you

Please tell me where you got your best ever ballet flats from, how much you paid and what they looked like

I am absolutely done with having pumps that fit well in the shop consequently shredding and disabling my feet the moment I do more than a 10 minute saunter in them.

Oh I just checked! They don’t make Lola any more Sad
I think Lamulay are the replacement model www.geox.com/en-GB/lamulay-D825DD00085C6738.html?dwvar_D825DD00085C6738_color=C6738&cgid=DONNA-DONNA_SCARPE-DONNA_SCARPE_BALLERINEANDFLATS&ordering=standard-sorting#start=1
I sincerely hope they are as good...

curlywurlyupsydaisy · 13/08/2018 21:49

Geox have randomly stopped stocking size 8's in ballerinas, only got up to a uk 7.5 now - anyone know why?

welshmist · 13/08/2018 21:54

I have some lovely Lunar sandals so comfortable lots of compliments so I checked for flats and yes they do them

Bejazzled · 13/08/2018 22:45

My best ones have been from Cara London. I have three pairs.

2233xylophone · 13/08/2018 23:03

Nope, the Next ones are neither of those links above. I've just searched and looks like they're not on the website at the moment. If you Google though, you can see them in Google images.

Not sure if this will work: goo.gl/images/D1YFtA

French Sole

welshmist · 13/08/2018 23:40

This thread is bad for my wallet lol

Seqkat · 13/08/2018 23:43

The old design of Clarks ballet flats were so nice - I used to stand on them for work for eight hours happily, but the new ones are awful. So stiff and pinchy. I am so dismayed.

witwootoodleoo · 13/08/2018 23:46

Another vote for Geox. Not the cheapest but so comfy. I’ve lived in mine in the office nearly every day for several years now.

IwankaTramp · 14/08/2018 00:33

Blue Velvet and ones from Jigsaw. Only buy leather or suede.

My mum swears by Gabor.

IwankaTramp · 14/08/2018 00:42

Jigsaw, Bella soft leather ballerina- bought in sale for about £30 and bought another on eBay for when they wear out. They are higher vamp so easier on the feet.

For heels I love my hush puppies soft style heels. This is their us website linked to my current pair of heels I got discounted at the outlet for $10.88 which includes sales tax. They are super comfortable.

Want2bSupermum · 14/08/2018 00:56

The hush puppies are leather, made from kidskin which is goat. They have a liner which cushions nicely. I don't know how they make them for the price they sell them for. I have never paid more than $60 for a pair.

MadMaryBoddington · 14/08/2018 06:27

Hobbs

LadyOfTheCanyon · 14/08/2018 07:46

Is there a particular reason you're persisting with ballerina style? I've given up on them completely as they were just too flat for my fallen arches, and my toes ached from scrunching to keep them on.
Less places seem to be stocking them and are moving over to a loafer shape with a pointed toe and higher vamp.
Would you consider a brogue? Soooo comfy and could look great with a cuffed work trouser.

Stimmyplip · 14/08/2018 08:10

Not sure if you can get hem in the UK but I'm obsessed with Rothys. Made from recycled bottles and you can put in the washing machine.

I have these two and want to get the leopard print ones.

I get compliments every single time I wear them!

Reppetto and Bloch also do amazing flats.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 14/08/2018 08:17

@Seqkat
Couldn’t agree more, this was my thought as I was picking bits of my burst blister off the back of my patent nude ballet pump - I am not friends with Clarks at the moment (nor M&S, shit quality everything)

@Ladyofthecanyon
You make a good point. I don’t have a solid answer except I just like the style and they are easy to slip into handbags

Which leads me to wonder if @Forgottenmypassword and a PP may have a temporary fix for me as those Butterfly Twists are apparently pretty good, non slip and handbag friendly.

BUT after seeing the Next A/W lookbook I’m investigating brogues. I just think they can look frumpy on me; I have the legs of an Exmoor pony (I’m too tall to be a Shetland)

My favourites have been R and B Charming, Geox, and French Sole.

Haint · 14/08/2018 16:42

I've had Repatto, Bloch and French Sole and all have been equally as painful.

My best pair were from Toast but they don't make them anymore :(

I think the key is a rubbery sole (it is for me at least) a slippy leather sole or a hard plastic one make me scrunch my toes a

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 14/08/2018 16:54

Oh god, French Sole were the fucking pits, skinned me raw.
