Cool shoes for this dress

Casual outdoor wedding in August so need shoes/ sandals to dress it up a bit but that will be ok for standing around all day outdoors and not too frumpy/ formal. I need inspiration 😃😲. I’m 52 so a generation older than the bride. Don’t want to look too middle aged but equally don’t want to look ridiculous 😃

Are you not going to be a bit hot in that dress in August, if the heat is anything like it is now? I would wear white wedges with this dress though.

It’s really light fabric so bought it because I think it will be good in the heat.
I’m more like the dumpy librarian so need the right shoes to rescue it. It’s really comfortable and easy to wear though and looks quite good on.

It’s very loose so fabric doesn’t need to be breathable as such. I really appreciate any help re shoes but the dress is bought now and I’m not changing it 😃.
I like the idea of picking up the orange but think the kitten heels are too “pretty” for the dress if you know what I mean.

If orange shoes aren't something you'd wear again/often, how about this cheap faux option, I think the style channels the 60s shift dress style a bit:

Or if oranges shoes arent something you'd wear again, then gold would look good, and there would be tons more options. Again I'd for a low wedge for comfort and casual.

I like the espadrilles, OP. I'd like to see what they actually look like with the dress though. I hate when photos on websites don't show what shoes the model is wearing, just to give an idea!

Again I think the colour is definitely right, just feel they’re probably to office like.
The wedding is abroad. BBQ in a country guest house type thing so I think stylish but not formal would be ideal

Cos have some kitten heel point toes in cream, and some rather nice chunky heel grey too. Sorry I haven't mastered the art of the link.

If you can manage the height, then yes they look nice. I think a wedge is definitely the right track to take, it's not too smart or work like, especially with a cork or raffia sole.
