A casual pub wedding. And other stories. I’m a 38g above. Its not a wedding dress is it? Isn’t it a funny colour?

I agree with the Bravissimo recommendation- lots of lovely dresses that would suit you. Have to say I am full of admiration for you for shopping when you are post op on the hottest day of the year - I hate shopping and wriggling in and out of clothes at the best of times

Krouse64 · 15/07/2018 17:52

I’m a personal shopper and ur shape would really suit a wrap style dress, or like others have said a vintage style. I would recommend a designer called diva who has built in Spanx which r 100% more comfortable than the pants or a gatsby dress

BaconCrispsGone · 15/07/2018 17:54

I have similar size boobs and like krisp knot front dresses
www.krisp.co.uk/womens-c1/shop-by-department-c163/dresses-c7/knot-front-wrap-dresses-c1757

I was dubious, but for the price took a chance, and not only do they cover my boobs they are actually flattering. I avoid the ones in shiny fabric but the jersey print dresses are great

Alovelycupofteaplease · 15/07/2018 18:04

Those krisp dresses look lovely and great price.

I often like things others don't but I liked this one from monsoon.

I love the bold colours.

OP thanks for sharing your shopping today. I am sure you will start feeling more like yourself as you recover.

Bubblysqueak · 15/07/2018 18:09

The first one makes you look like friar tuck. Don't like the second either.

Bubblysqueak · 15/07/2018 18:14

Some of the links are gorgeous.

colditz · 15/07/2018 18:30

I like that multicolour stripy one

You need a deep v neck (pref wrap dress) a waist and a flared hip, dropping to knee and no longer.

That personal shopper wants fucking sacking

EachandEveryone · 15/07/2018 18:31

I find it hard to shop in London

Itchytights · 15/07/2018 18:33

Nope.

Whoever “they” are, they aren’t being honest with you.

First one is revolting- you look like you are going to Fred Flintstones party and the second one does you no favours at all.

Look at bravissimo they have good dresses to accommodate boobs

Toohotme · 15/07/2018 18:35

I would go online. You can get lots of brands from just one website eg John Lewis, house of Fraser, Debenhams or ASOS. I end up sending at least half of it back but prefer to try on at home with shoes etc.

I tried that stripy monsoon dress and it is gorgeous but made my boobs look huge.

Honeyroar · 15/07/2018 18:36

I have a similar size chest and hips to match. I hate clothes shopping, but got a few lovely dresses in the debenhams sale last week (four dresses For the price of that last one, they were so reduced in price). May be worth a look there..

What was that shop and designers thinking! The first dress should've been on Pocohontus and the second on Dorothy for Oz!

Oblomov18 · 15/07/2018 18:38

Have faith OP. You will find the right dress and look FAB-U-LUS Darling.

Let the MN style 'police' help you. You are lovely and have a cracking figure. Most none of us are quite as young or as slim as we would like to be. But you will look spectacular!! ❤️

traceyturnblatt · 15/07/2018 18:38

Nothing to add about the dresses except to say be gentle with yourself OP, you've been through a lot and remember to pace yourself!

This is such a lovely thread though, you've all been so helpful- almost like a fleet of MNers was standing outside the curtains of the changing room with suggestions!

TinselAngel · 15/07/2018 18:40

Another vote here for looking at Bravissimo- they have great dresses for those of us with enormo-boobs.

Oblomov18 · 15/07/2018 18:41

Plus. I booked a personal shopper in Debenhams in Guildford. She was superb. I found a dress for ds2's holy communion and quite a few other bits that Dh and all my friends said looked fabulous.

Moominfan · 15/07/2018 18:51

Op I think the last dress you posted was the nicest so far. Also how comfy are fitflops I'm a recent convert. Like walking on a cloud.

Flooffloof · 15/07/2018 18:51

That crisp link is excellent thanks bacon.
I have a wedding to attend next year so I think I have seen the dress I want on that link.
Plus it's cheap, I don't do dresses so for a once only wear, it needs to be cheap.

takenitall · 15/07/2018 18:54

Take shoes off when you are trying on clothes it makes them hard to envision
Have you tried Bannana republic ?

I would say a smooth dress with a pattern will flatter you and nude shoes with a plummy lipstick
Hair up!
Bra looks good to me

takenitall · 15/07/2018 18:55

@justme28 that flowery dress is lovely

labazs · 15/07/2018 18:59

what is the name of that company that do lush vintage style dresses and they are plus size always fit my gigantic boobs perfectly gorgeous dresses

jarhead123 · 15/07/2018 19:21

Hope you find something suitable OP! This has been a lovely thread to read :)

Allergictoironing · 15/07/2018 19:42

@labazs I think you may be referring to Lady Vintage which I linked above? They have the Lady Voluptuous range too, fit my size 24/26 upper half (mostly boob) very nicely.

Longdistance · 15/07/2018 19:42

I’m of similar boobage size. I’ve bought a few dresses from a company called Izabel.

Please ditch those flip flop Birkenstock things when trying on dresses, do it in bare feet, as you won’t get a good idea what looks good on.
