A casual pub wedding. And other stories. I’m a 38g above. Its not a wedding dress is it? Isn’t it a funny colour?

Look online at M&S (not sure this is in the shops) I am bigger up top and getting clothes to fit is a nightmare but I have just bought this and I'm really pleased with it. Read the reviews - lots of people saying that big boobs are essential with this outfit and I have to agree with them. Being a shorty, a jumpsuit is not typically something I would ever look at but I am glad I did. It is really flattering. Yes, it is a bit long but I can take it up. I love it.

Hope you feel better soon!

PS Go for something with a v neck.

EachandEveryone · 15/07/2018 15:53

My hair has gone frizzy due to my hormones and this heat. I have good hair.

I was looking because I had to meet my friend and his husband at the station. And they sadly don’t conform to stereotypes so didn’t link my arm and drag me off to look for frocks. They were itching to get home for the football.

He is my hairdresser tbf and he said I need highlights in my crown. When I’m ready. I can’t sit down for too long.

I ended up looking at the sales that why I was trying on. I went to Oliver Bonas which doesn’t even have a dressing room, the price they charge as well.

I’m gone now. I feel useless I’ve stayed in for nearly six weeks. Only going as far as M and S food. And now I’m excited because Aldi is opening on the 18th!!!

Each, you are expecting an awful lot of yourself after such big surgery. You will find something you love.

MadMags · 15/07/2018 16:03

Each you've had a big, life-changing surgery.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't let some dickhead on here make you feel bad about your hair, ffs!

You did really well today. Go home, re-group, and then you can have a wander around Aldi when it opens Wink

Honestly, I get the stir crazy feeling but in a few weeks you'll feel like a new woman and be in a much better position to shop or to do anything really!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 15/07/2018 16:05

I'm the same size as you boobwise. I have this dress and it looks great. Needs a cardi/bolero/jacket but by September you'll want one.

Mummyoflittledragon · 15/07/2018 16:06

What sort of hysterectomy have you had to be up and about and shopping after 6 weeks?

I’m 3 1/2 weeks after mine. Mine was full surfer and a very large a vertical cut above my belly button down. I’m knackred but I was already disabled.

Mummyoflittledragon · 15/07/2018 16:07

Surfer = surgery. (Interesting auto correct)

dementedma · 15/07/2018 16:11

i too think you would rock the Lindybop, cross over style.

Ellapaella · 15/07/2018 16:25

@EachandEveryone take care of yourself. It's too hot to enjoy shopping today, and you've just had major surgery? Maybe wait a few weeks until things have settled down a bit.
The last dress you posted look very nice.

I do wish some posters would stop and think for a few seconds before posting such blunt comments on style and beauty threads. Posting pictures takes a lot of confidence.. why walk all over peoples feeling with putdowns, surely you can see it's hurtful? Obviously not everyone is going to like the same things but There are subtle ways to advise people and it costs nothing to use a little tact and constructive criticism.

PrimalLass · 15/07/2018 16:27

Oliver Bonas has good sales.

Halfgirlhalfbiscuit · 15/07/2018 16:33

I think a wrap dress would suit your figure really well, a 'v' over the bust makes the most of your assests, nipped in at waist and lean over your dainty hips and legs. I can't see your eyes so it's difficult to say which colour 'season' your are but the stronger, darker colours in the pics seem to suit you better (the blue of you bra and the black print on the final dress...not the brown/khaki, that did nothing for your skin tone) maybe something like this: www.joebrowns.co.uk/sp+Exclusive-Joe-Browns-Dress+WD357?glCountry=XX&gclid=CjwKCAjw4avaBRBPEiwA_ZetYolY-0uwnMmOUOewRpr-I3xSS_dVA_Z9cGSN0J_2RNCH6kbsD

Allergictoironing · 15/07/2018 16:33

Oh and the LindyBop and LadyVintage dresses are nearly all in fabrics that DON'T collect cat hair Grin.

I know what a pp meant about the LindyBop ones sometimes looking a bit "costume-y" but they have a few in fabrics that aren't too OTT (e.g. this one and rhis one), stripes, polka dots etc. And LadyV are fab at the mo if you're into florals.

MrsMozart · 15/07/2018 16:42

Be kind to yourself lass.

EachandEveryone · 15/07/2018 16:54

I’m home under the fan. It was a huge vertical cut also and the blooming catheter for two weeks but by week four I started to feel much better. I just feel bloody useless as I’m quite a social person you can go a long time not seeing anyone when they are all at work.

I’m invited out on Thursday I said I’ll do dinner but will leave after I’m
Looking at that M and S jumpsuit for that with a straw bag and tan sandals. Does it come up big?

I bought this cotton top from Oliver Bonas in the sale it will go with lots of denim things. Its only casual but looks nice on.

Neither dress as they both look cheap. Maybe something fitted or possibly empire line. I'm a curvy lady and have bought some lovely dresses/smart casual stuff from Fashion World catalogue. Their prices range from good to expensive.

WyrdSisterWeatherwax · 15/07/2018 16:59

Have a look on Scarlett & Jo, they'll have some dresses I think will really suit you.

Alovelycupofteaplease · 15/07/2018 17:04

Lovely top OP. You did well. Perfect for this sticky weather. I love Oliver Bonas. Really pretty jewellery.

EachandEveryone · 15/07/2018 17:11

Thanks I’ll have a good look and those sites. I don’t think I’ll be going into actual shops for a while. Its horrible thinking of how cool and alternative and skinny you were in the 80’s . I don’t recognise myself anymore.

M&S Jumpsuit does come up big. I'm a 40F and managed to get into a 16 Shock. I'm normally an 18 and that's in stretchy fabric.

Definitely wedges! You could wear any colour.

notangelinajolie · 15/07/2018 17:19

Should have said 40F minimiser.

alltoomuchrightnow · 15/07/2018 17:28

I have v plain Lindy Bop dresses.. plain black, striped etc, I'm a 38G, I don't like the 'fancy dress' look

MadMags · 15/07/2018 17:37

Beautiful top! Well done! :)

labazs · 15/07/2018 17:40
