A casual pub wedding. And other stories. I’m a 38g above. Its not a wedding dress is it? Isn’t it a funny colour?

Another vote for the Bravissimo maxi. OP it looks like it was made for your wonderful curves.

And another vote for ordering online. Far less overwhelming than going out, even when at full health.

EachandEveryone · 16/07/2018 18:14

Oh that dress is lovely. Sadly the blue isnt available. Black spots or green palm trees? Are their sizes big?

The reviews usually give you a good idea of how things fit - it seems to vary.

Alovelycupofteaplease · 16/07/2018 20:18

Might be worth calling a few stores to check on the blue. I really like the red or green. And like the accessories they've put with both. Tan/metallic.

I too want a new dress now!

petrolpump28 · 16/07/2018 20:24

mmmm red, not sure with your colouring.
leaf print a bit full on.

EachandEveryone · 16/07/2018 20:29

I think the print is full tbh I much prefer the blue

@EachandEveryone the last (dark) dress you tried on yesterday looked lovely on you I thought.

this is a Wallis top I wore with black silky pants and black suede mules. Looks a bit casual but you get the idea

notangelinajolie · 16/07/2018 22:47

OP I've no more outfits to offer - just my support. I'm with you all the way on this - I think we are body twins. Grr at boobs stopping perfectly nice clothes from fitting and secretly hoping mumsnetters come up with something that would look nice on me too

What a lovely thread Smile

IndieTara · 16/07/2018 23:01

Op I've just bought this and it's so flattering and comfy and ridiculously priced too. They have lots of colours and patterns. I'm a GG cup and they look fab in this dress

Has anyone already suggested
St Bustier - if you are happy to order online they do some lovely things for the big of boob !

Op I have a figure similar to yours and I buy 90% ofy dresses from Bravissimo. They really are fantastic and designed to fit women like us. The dresses are in 3 sizes curvy, really curvy, super curvy. I'm size 12 30HH and wear Super Curvy. I'd also suggest getting re-measured for a bra at Bravissimo as I suspect you're wearing too big a back size. A well fitted bra and dress was a revelation for me. No more traipsing round the stores getting depressed that nothing fitted. Bravissimo really changed my life.

EnidButton · 17/07/2018 21:26

Could you do some online shopping Each? I know staying in and resting is boring as feck but you do need to look after yourself. I always hated going into actual shops and trying stuff on. I shop in my pjs with a cup of tea now instead. Do have to have either a credit card or a little chunk of money to buy a few bits at once so not always doable I know.

Mummy Really hope your instinct is right and you see some improvement in your health. Slowly does it. I know exactly the kind of consultant/doctor you mean and the shitty dismissive patronising attitude. I think they clone them. Fuckers. Good luck with your op recovery. Flowers

qumquat · 17/07/2018 21:30

I think something like this would look great on you OP. There's a knee length version as well:

qumquat · 17/07/2018 21:44

Or this looks similar to the dress you liked but couldn't close:

A lot of Bravissimo shops don't stock the clothing so check before schlepping to a shop. I do all of my shopping online.

EnidButton · 17/07/2018 22:03

I like those qum, Good colours.

Hey it's not too causal if you get the right accessories? Thinking if you go a bit retro 50s, red lipstick and a wedge shoe (or flat if you prefer I'm quite tall and I hate heels so I'd do a pair of pointy flats.. )
regardless that dress looks lovely on you!!

JuneFromBethesda · 20/07/2018 11:34

I think that's the nicest you've posted on here. It really suits your shape. I agree with Lulabelle, with the right accessories it will be perfect.

EachandEveryone · 20/07/2018 11:34

I have terrible trouble with the joints in my feet hence all the fitflops! I have to be really careful with shoes. I dont know why its happened so painful.
