A casual pub wedding. And other stories. I’m a 38g above. Its not a wedding dress is it? Isn’t it a funny colour?

Try Lady V, loads of vintage style dresses that are great with a larger bust. I have a collection of their Lyra dresses (in the plus size range, but do come smaller) in a mix of plain & florals. If you have any waist at all compared to your bust, which you clearly do, they look great on almost anyone Smile

MrsBertBibby · 15/07/2018 14:29

Don't hide the legs!!

LucyFox · 15/07/2018 14:31

The 4th one is lovely & with the right accessories will be lovely for a wedding ... however you MUST check out Bravissimo - they make clothes for curvy women that have extra room in the busy but are not baggy elsewhere!

Piggywaspushed · 15/07/2018 14:35

I know lots of PPs have said get your legs out but I honestly feel sometimes that can make busty women look like upside down weebles!

Bravissimo have soem lovely maxi dresses and jumpsuits. Sadly, I am too short!

Alovelycupofteaplease · 15/07/2018 14:49

That last dress looked great on you. And I agree with whoever said you have lovely hair.

I have big boobs and find flared skirts with dark fitted stretchy tops really flattering. I have a couple of fine knit or jersey slash/Bardot neck tops I wear with fancy skirts. Doubt its trendy but its flattering.

If you are set on a dress, make sure you try sitting down. I find dresses can look good when I'm standing but uncomfortable when I sit. You want to feel relaxed.

Good luck with your recovery Flowers

www.lindybop.co.uk/dresses/shop-by-shape/wrap-dresses.html

I think you'd look amazing in any of these. The first two would look beautiful on you.

keyboardjellyfish · 15/07/2018 15:00

I agree with PP, the first three were horrible and the last was nice but not for a wedding. You have a really lovely figure and look like you'd suit a brighter, V line dress. I think the darkness of all the dresses is a big problem here!

murasaki · 15/07/2018 15:06

Try LIndybob online? tea dresses , wrap dresses, and halter 50s style stuff

shakingmyhead1 · 15/07/2018 15:08

try not to get too loose as it can actually make them look bigger, a nice fitted bodice with a v shaped neck line (show off a tasteful hint) and floaty skirt like the 2nd picture Torn posted, or the one ilovered posted, or try a sort of 50's style, dont go beige, or a busy pattern or too long as that can make us look super short and a nice heel can lift us big boobed gals up and make us look a little more in proportion... when did you have your last bra fitting? ya gals look a little close, divide and conquer and is it looking a little low on your chest? not snug under the gals holding them up? ( i know its bloody hard finding a good bra to hold them up ive been as large as a HH its bloody rough but keep looking they do make some really good ones)

MadMags · 15/07/2018 15:10

You've plenty of time till September.

Well done on getting out and about. A hysterectomy is a big deal Flowers

Have a rest. If you see something online order it. You can always return it.

I'm sure when you're feeling better/stronger in a few weeks, you will be far more able to pick something that you feel good in and that suits you.

The 4th one was lovely, by the way. Much more suited to you.

ElectricSeal · 15/07/2018 15:13

V neck wrap dress would be good for you.

V helps visually to separate the boobs, the wrap will bring the dress in under your boobs defining them.

I loved the last dress and you can definitely wear it more than once.

PrimalLass · 15/07/2018 15:15

OP if it is in September why are you struggling out now, post op?

littlebillie · 15/07/2018 15:18

The last one was nicer though I am sure you could find better. Perhaps a midi dress semi fitted and plain (but not yellow)

LavendarGreen · 15/07/2018 15:21

@Eachandeveryone

In all honesty it's a fugly dress and does you NO favours.

Burn it.

TornFromTheInside · 15/07/2018 15:25

lol
Can we have a MN ritual bonfire?
Dresses that do you down! Burn 'em!!!

whatyadoing · 15/07/2018 15:34

God almighty - what are you wearing woman!!

mmmgoats · 15/07/2018 15:34

Another one saying Bravissimo here I think you would look utterly fantastic and the ladies in the shop are so honest and lovely in my experience.
Echoing what others have said - you have a fabulous bust and legs OP you just need to find the right cut of dress for you.

I also think you could carry off a brighter colour, a nice blue (lighter than the fourth dress not navy).

whatyadoing · 15/07/2018 15:40

THIS is what you should be looking at.

whatyadoing · 15/07/2018 15:41

Similar style but in a more elastic fabric to accommodate the boobage.

slowsloegin · 15/07/2018 15:42

Monsoon sale is on right now, get down to Monsoon while it's still on, lost of bargains!

I'm going to a wedding on Saturday in a dress I wouldn't have thought of picking up from the shelf, but the sales assistant in the changing room suggested it (after I'd already tried on half the shop!) and I love it! :)

1frenchfoodie · 15/07/2018 15:42

The last dress was by far the nicest but perhaps not special enough unless you felt good in it. Do try Bravissimo if you can, my sister got ALL the boobs in my family and it seems whenever I complement her on anything it is Bravissimo. Or Sainsburys wierdly but I think that is a fluke! Good luck finding the right dress and recovering from what is a big op.

Jesus DON'T buy that black Dorothy Perkins dress.

Unless the wedding is in a shitty office somewhere and you work in accounts!

MadMags · 15/07/2018 15:45

And you don't need to "sort yer barnet out" post-op on your first venture out. Hmm

You need to get yourself better then worry. Your hair, and you, will be gorgeous!

Alovelycupofteaplease · 15/07/2018 15:48

I hope I don't sound rude.... But I don't get the lindybop dresses. I love them but they look sort of like fancy dress to me. Maybe that's a lack of confidence. I've only ever seen them work in a very full on kitsch way with make up and hair to match.
