Can I ask that here?
If you have any grey hair that is!

  1. I blame my a levels! I'm going very slowly grey though. I only really had enough to bother dying it from my late 30s.
VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 27/06/2018 20:18

Penfold, what do you mean it annoys your DM? How very dare she.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 27/06/2018 20:21

None yet at 49.5, but my dad only went grey in his late 50s and is now completely white at 81. My mum got a few greys in her 50s but at 82 still has more colour than grey. Guess it's genetic.

Penfold007 · 27/06/2018 20:29

Vanellope thank you, that was the perfect answer. DM absolutely hates my rod straight, long, white hair. Yet her DM's was exactly the same Grin

Around 14-15

  1. I remember noticing it when bored in a French lesson.
EraOfTheGrey · 27/06/2018 22:51
  1. It did take another 23 years to become 100% grey.
ShatnersBassoon · 27/06/2018 22:59

25, just a couple in my cowlick at the front. Then no more until about 35, and slow progress since. Now I have a Lily Munster streak, and a patch above each ear so my hairdresser tells me.

fitbitbore · 27/06/2018 23:02

32 and one grey eyebrow hair both after the birth of first dc

ShesABelter · 27/06/2018 23:02

27, 33 almost and have too many to pull out 😭

BeBesideTheSea · 27/06/2018 23:04

White not grey, but 11

Lollyice · 27/06/2018 23:07

32 but I'd say noticeable to others now, 38. I dyed mine last night, not ready to be grey just yet.

Anditstartsagain · 27/06/2018 23:34

20 started at my ears its gradually turned into a streak above each ear with a few throughout though I think I'm getting another streak at the front of my parting. I'm 32 so it's been slow progress started speeding up during my second pregnancy at 29

Knitted fairies, me too and I now have less than I did a few months ago

Middleoftheroad · 28/06/2018 17:14
  1. It's white and grey now, but I dye and highlight still. Have had to do this since mid 20s when I could no longer get away with plucking the odd hair!
TheGreatCornholio · 28/06/2018 17:18
  1. I've had to dye my hair for years!
musicinthe00ssucks · 28/06/2018 17:18

A guy I was friends with at Uni was sat behind me in a lecture and whispered that he had found a grey hair on my head. He then pulled it out - it was also my 18th birthday Shock

@AsAProfessionalFekko my ginger cat has a few black hairs!

WesternMeadowlark · 28/06/2018 18:36
  1. I had to stop plucking them when I was about 23, due to the number of them.

I don't know of anything that getting them that early could be indicative of. In your position I'd do some research perhaps, but mainly just keep an eye out for anything else unusual showing up, or the number of them growing rapidly. Follicles do some weird things, they've got mind of their own.

16 - I have black hair so very noticeable and now at 30 I'd say I'm about 15% grey. I actually don't mind it but when I go a few months between dye jobs I get so many comments about it from friends & family! Bit rude I think, I often feel like replying by pointing out one of their 'flaws'.

'Oooh look at that patch of grey in your fringe'
'Oooh look at that big spot on your chin/muffin top/etc'
