Didnit not take the price off the total @mayhew ?

Maladicta · 02/06/2018 21:09

Got the box yesterday, it's got some really lovely stuff.

Lip balm is smooth on with a fresh taste, night cream was a bit richer than I'm used to but will persevere for a few days. Love the pillow spray - being mid report writing it was v relaxing last night. Dd covets the nail varnish and mascara, working my way through the rest of the items.

The only item I'm not wowed by is the perfume but that's because it's not a scent I would use - I like more citrusy notes.

So, very pleased with the box! I'll use most of it and would be tempted to buy the full sizes of a couple of things.

mayhew · 02/06/2018 21:11

Thank you people of Mumsnet. I rang M&S and they amended the order! So it looks like I will have a little prezzie.

BestIsWest · 02/06/2018 21:12

I just tried it with two items costing £39 each and although the basket said £135 for the box, the total was £93 so it’s taken off at that point mayhew

BestIsWest · 02/06/2018 21:13

Good news :)

messybun · 03/06/2018 09:24

Has anyone ordered it with £40 worthbof stuff and then had to return an item? Do you still get to keep the box?! I need some shoes and will order two sizes to check fit so technically will be able to get the box but I know full well I'll be returning one pair

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 03/06/2018 09:29

Has anyone seen them in store? I want to get some sandals for DS which aren’t in stock online but are in stock at Marble Arch, so I could reach the 40 pounds with them and some new school shirts, but I’m not sure about whether the beauty box will be available there.

YouWereRight · 03/06/2018 09:49

Yep, I got mine in store.

rxvitsc · 03/06/2018 10:12

@messybun yes I think you can keep the box in that instance, it certainly worked with the advent calendar

Essexgirlupnorth · 03/06/2018 13:44

Ordered some school uniform for my daughter so got one as a treat for me. Already used the nail varnish and like the shade of the lipstick.
Don't like the scent of Percy and reed stuff so might have to regift that

messybun · 03/06/2018 22:28

Yay! That's my lunch break sorted tomorrow then :)

HLBug · 03/06/2018 22:38

I used the elasticiser (sp?) this morning and it's definitely improved the condition of my hair (bleached with dye on top). Not wowed with the night cream but I love the smell so will persevere. Lip colour is fab.

My first time getting the box and I'm happy for £15! It's like a little summer advent calendar treat but you get to open all the doors at one -love it! I think there was mention up thread about boots and some others doing something similar - does anyone know more?

Clionba · 04/06/2018 10:30

How did you use the elasticiser, HLBug?
Like a regular conditioner?

SporkInTheToaster · 04/06/2018 19:04

Elasticiser is a pre shampoo treatment, so the opposite to conditioner in your routine.

Elasticiser (through midlengths & ends at least 20mins before you shampoo) - shampoo - conditioner.

happypoobum · 04/06/2018 19:21

I am so pleased with mine. Got one for DD too.

DS17 will use the hair products Grin He has Jim Morrison style long curly hair and swears by the Kingsley Elasticiser. Don't think we have had coconut before though.

The lip colour is great on my colouring and I love the REN bodywash.

It is a good deal and good marketing by M&S as I always end up buying a full size product from the Summer Box and the Christmas Advent Calendar.

HLBug · 04/06/2018 21:24

Yes clionba, as spork has said, it's a pretreatment. I put it the ends and mids of damp hair then put hair up in a ponytail and left it for about an hour before I had a shower. I did only intend to leave it 20 or so mins but my faffing around on a Sunday morning knows no bounds Confused

Belindabelle · 05/06/2018 19:17

Mine has just arrived and I want to thank the OP for posting about this.
I am used to the advent calendars and Christmas gift boxes but I didn't know you could get them at other times of the year too. On first look I think I will use all the products so well worth 15. I had a 20% off Sparks voucher so I bought some Liquid Gold which I use anyway.

This has cheered me right up.

tumpymummy · 05/06/2018 19:25

Oh no! I did a big order this afternoon and forgot to add the box! I'm collecting it in store tomorrow so it will be shipped already, so unable to phone them and get it added. Sad

TantricTwist · 05/06/2018 19:28

tumpy I'm sure they can add it on when you pick up your items. If not you can return the items, rebuy them adding on the summer box

MarthasGinYard · 05/06/2018 19:29

I've bought one in store today

Excited

MarthasGinYard · 05/06/2018 20:04

Oh no the trousers I bought I don't like on.

I will return them

Do I have to return my box?

Laska5772 · 05/06/2018 20:10

I got one...am particularly pleased with the Origins moisturizer (which I have bought before) ,the REM shower gel, the Nuxe aftersun and ultra sun SP 30 lip balm.and Prai decolletage cream

All of these products will be going on holiday with me to Greece ,
possibly the coconut elasticizer as a 'leave in' conditioner , even though i have v short hair!

I like the nail and lip colours also
Definitely worth the extra £15 I reckon

Laska5772 · 05/06/2018 20:11

hmm.. pillow spray for the hotel the night before /and plane I wonder ?

WindyWednesday · 05/06/2018 20:49

I loved it, Much better than the advent calendar which was so disappointing. Love the lip balm.

Clionba · 05/06/2018 21:27

Thanks HLBug and spork for those tips. I absolutely love that Ren bodywash, it would never occur to me to have bought that. The pillow spray I've sprayed at work to calm my colleagues down Grin
