I loved her outfit at Prince Charles birthday party here

It had a real 30’s vibe. Loved the hat, especially at such a jaunty angle.

Her style has evolved so much since her engagement photos. Pared down tailoring is definitely her look.

Just had to give Camilla a quick mention; normally she is impeccable but yesterday’s outfit was just off. Green too bright, fabric too shiny, ruffles too much. A lighter shade of green In A Matt fabric and no ruffles would have suited her better. To me, she looked like a mint fondant fancy.

MM looks stunning as always but maybe a wee bit subdued? Of course the outfit was totally appropriate for the event.

The only thing I don't like is the pale tights.

She looks nice otherwise. I still prefer Kate's style overall, but we're all individuals, right?

I suppose she’s now got a programme of more formal events to dress for (not to mention full access to sylists... and the coffers).

You're confusing Meghan with Kate here. Meghan has had stylists and her own money all along due to being an actress.

I'm looking forward to watching how she styles herself as she has a similar skin tone/eyes and we have a similar physique too although o have a nice layer of fat all over me so I will use her as inspiration.

She looked great yesterday. A little understated but she pitched it well to focus the attention off her a little. She's doing extremely well although I do think she is contrived in her gestures sometimes - her body language can be awkward or insincere occasionally too.

I love Michael kors pointy heels.

I wondered if that was deliberate, because the event wasn't about her, and she perhaps wanted to try to keep in the background and not take attention from Charles and Camilla.

Has she decided to adopt simple and elegant as her style, I wonder? I think it suits her. Some of the things she wore around the time of her engagement were a bit too fussy for my taste.

She needs to have her colours done! That beige colour is all shades of wrong for her!

There was a Mrs Simpson vibe to it. She looked lovely. Harry looked very nervy, maybe he was tired.

I really like her dress and hat but the tights just look wrong. She does have very slender legs and the tights just seem to show that up.

I must say though that I have liked just about all her outfits

Oh, interesting. I'm clearly in the minority because I really disliked the outfit. I thought it was a bit frumpy and didn't fit properly. Each to their own!

Rather amusingly, those Mumsnet posters who dared to suggest not wearing tights was inappropriate when on official duty, appear to have been proved right!

She’s utterly beautiful. I love her style. Not like Kate’s at all! MM elegant, deliberately understated, I think. I love the pic of her arm on Harry’s back. They are both supporting each other.

Her tights less shiny than Kate favours! Loved the chignon hair.

I wa always taught by my stylist aunt that formal occasions need tights, even thin denier.

I'm interested to know whether she prefers over-sized clothing or just loat a lost of weoght pre-wedding. Everything looks too big on her atm. If that ghost dress fit properly, I'd like it a whole lot more.

For the first time I thought she didn't seem full of confidence, and I liked her for that. I thought she looked good, and the reduction in 'gushing' made her seem more genuine somehow.

winterisstillcoming It's the open mouthed, hand on chest gesture that gets me - must have learned it in drama lessons and it's become a habit.

I loved her dress but wasn't keen on the colour. I agree her tights weren't right.

@AngeloMysterioso Thanks for the tip about the M&S tights. I need some sheer ones for a wedding next week. What colour do you reckon is best? I am quite pale and just want something to take the edge off the whiteness of my legs. A light sunkissed look is what i am after!

duchessofsussex I wear the natural tan ones- I’m very pale too and they give me a bit more of a tanned look without being a strikingly different colour to the rest of my body

I thought she looked too severe and conservative yesterday. It would have been better had she worn more jewellery but, unlike Kate, she doesn’t have a rich family to give her twinkly gifts. Harry will have to start lavishing her with bling.

For goodness sake user1499, she doesn't need a rich family, she's a well-known actress worth several million in her own right! I'm sure she's got lots of jewellery - maybe she chose to keep it simple!
