Do you think so, Dave? It just felt like a girls dress rather than a 60 year olds! I think I struggle to wear anything my daughter would buy for herself. (Or get me to buy for her, given she's a student!).

Ellapaella · 20/05/2018 17:24

Yes cherries! You look absolutely fantastic in that, you must buy it! I want it now too!
Honestly that is such a good fit on you, do you like it yourself?

Ellapaella · 20/05/2018 17:26

Is that JL in Newcastle cherries? If so I'm going to head there this week and see if they have any left, did they have any in green? In a size 10 did you notice? Sorry for all the questions..

ilovecherries · 20/05/2018 17:28

They had a 10 in the one I tried, Ella (yes, in Newcastle), but they only have the Marina dress in the green, not the Marissa.

Ellapaella · 20/05/2018 17:32

Yes it's that one the Marissa that I like, there's a green one too online.
Do you like it? Honestly I think it really suits you, that really brings out the best in your colouring .

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2018 17:43

I was asking if someone was trying it could they post a picture. Looks really nice on you Cherries :) I love the print. Unfortunately the neckline was as suspected. It doesn't look low on you but I cba having to worry if I bend over with the kids that I am giving others an eyeful. It does look great on you though. Not sure if a cami would be right under it though.

Just in case people order something, I dont know if anyone saw my post but there was a 10% discount round this time last year. It may the case again so maybe sit tight unless you don't mind re-ordering it? Or it may be that they don't bother this year. However I would definitely order the dress if you are after it because once it sells out its really hard to get it again. [As we have all experienced!]

Hmmm you might be right about the neckline Never, I'm not sure I want to be all on display if I bend over either Blush
I might just get myself to JL this week and have a try on.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2018 18:12

Yes, have a try on and let me know. On the website the cream one looks fine. The green one shows a bit of cleveage which I really don't want to be bothered with. The neckline looks a bit floppy and it is also lacey which means you might see more? If you try on let me know.

Can I just say on the returns front just how bloody bad baukjen are 😬😬😬

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2018 18:14

Oh are they? Worse than Hush? I have never ordered from them. One to steer clear of then Garfunkel?

OP posts:
garfunkelthecat · 20/05/2018 18:23

Absolutely worse than hush - so annoyed as I've just got into them but it's enough to put me off for good Envy

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2018 18:25

Do they take ages to refund you?

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 20/05/2018 18:25

You can certainly see the top of my bra - not just the lace on the cups, but the top of the wires, just standing still. I think a vest would spoil it.

Ellapaella · 20/05/2018 18:27

Zara I find dreadful as well. I bought some tops which I don't like - they didn't come with a returns slip so after a complicated conversation with CS I finally managed to download one. Then they sent parcel force to collect the parcel but didn't say when they were coming so I wasn't in. Now parcel force can't try again as they have no account number linked to the return so essentially I will end up either paying or driving 16 miles to nearest store. Really rubbish.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/05/2018 18:27

Not for me then :) At least that's one dress that I don't need to buy Grin

Cherries That really, really, really looks good on you!

duckling84 · 20/05/2018 18:40

It was me that asked to see the marissa! It looks stunning on you cherries so I will definitely order when I get paid Friday! Really lovely. Thank you

DavetheCat2001 · 20/05/2018 19:00

Yes I really think it looks lovely on you cherries

Laska5772 · 20/05/2018 19:17

I have the Marissa in Green coming tomorrow.. will post a photo if it looks a keeper.

Last night went to 40th party, wore the leopard maxi, black sleeveless v neck top and the new necklace, gold saltwaters and my Hush round leopard / black bag from AW17.. Got compliments!

Drove so didn't drink at all. (apart from fizzy water - a deliberate ploy because of diet) Cherries its working !! 7lb down Smile

Laska5772 · 20/05/2018 19:17

Did you enjoy wearing your dress dave?

DavetheCat2001 · 20/05/2018 19:45

I really did thank you laska!

It was really comfy to wear and i love the fact it's 100% cotton as it was nice and cool too.

I wore it with my red Saltwaters, a red bag and bright red lippy! I thought I looked quite bohemian! Grin

Seafour · 20/05/2018 19:50

Thanks ilovecherries, pretty certain about the bra size - I've always had a broad back, not helped by my spine being a funny shape at the moment. I would be over the moon if I come out of my next surgery a 32 as I love underwear.
I'm glad I came on here to ask as about sizing, is a large a 12 - 14 or 14 - 16?

Cherries it's nice to put a face and body to all the conversations we've shared on BC, you look fantastic in that dress and you look a good twenty years younger than your age.

GinandGingerBeer · 20/05/2018 19:53

Well both the cleo jumpsuit and the flowery trousers are going back. The trousers were a bit too big on the waist which made the waistband sag at the back, definitely a builders bum problem!
The jumpsuit was £75 and it was so creased that I couldn’t tell if I liked it or not but for that money I’m not risking ironing it just to try it so back it goes with a note to tell them the reason!
Maybe they shouldn’t have expanded into JL? Their quality and customer service has suffered since they did.

ilovecherries · 20/05/2018 19:56

laska, well done! It sounds as if we've all looked gawgus this weekend. :). And thanks for all the nice comments above (or below, depending on your reading style). I'd been feeling a bit down today, between no hair (alopecia is steadily rampaging through what little I had left), multiple surgical scars, a short leg which really hurt today and that last bloody stone that is taking forever to shift. Most days I am grateful (and I really am, my surgeon was a miracle worker), and optimistic (it's only hair), but today was just feeling like a little pity-fest. You all made me feel much better. Shallow, much? Grin.

I'm also wondering if my VBD is actually a bit big. The waist did keep sliding downwards so the top part was fully extended. It still looked ok, I think, but now wondering if I should swap the other (whichever I keep), for a small.
