Ilovecherries you look fabulous, especially in the white jeans & leopard top. The shorts look fab too, we should wear our scars with pride, anyone says anything I will come and run them over for you ( in my wheelchair of course).
I have a scar on my neck from having my broken neck repaired and I used to always wear a scarf, same with my paralysed legs, like most people with a spinal cord injury I thought I was doing everyone a public service by keeping them hidden and wearing trainers.
Well fuck that, you and I have worked really hard to reclaim our bodies and we should bloody well show them off.
I'm keeping most of what I bought just sending back the hareem pants that are too big, thanks to this thread I ordered medium and small - the small ones fit perfectly.
I can't do a mass try on photo shoot for you all - it takes too long, but I will post as I wear. Thanks to ilovecherries my haul includes the butterfly Marissa dress which I love.
I had a huge wardrobe cull this week, lots of my clothes are fine, they fit and are in good condition as I'm not exactly hard on them but I've been wearing the same stuff for years and years and I'm just bored with a lot of it so it's gone. What I'm left with is the stuff I didn't wear but still like, some classic pieces that just work, my funeral outfit, some posh frocks and beach holiday stuff - kaftans, lightweight maxi dresses etc.
I have yet to go through sports wear, t-shirts, underwear and nightwear.
Next job is to split the cull into donate and sell piles.
It's been really nice giving myself permission to get rid of things because they've done their service and are no longer needed. I've got rid of several very old cashmere jumpers but they will be boiled, made into felt and used in my textile art.
I'm more confident than I've ever been since being in the chair and no longer need to hide in big baggy tops and black leggings.
I'm seriously thinking about getting a second Tara dress to customise, it's crying out for some embellishments, but I like the fact that I can dress the light grey up with a bit of bling.
I think we should have a massive Marrisa dress meet up!!!!
