Are these 'old lady' sandals?

Been wanting some flat metallic sandals for ages, but I haven't been able to find any which (a) are my size (9E), & (b) fit without digging into my toes/ankles. I need them to cover up the front of my foot, so can't buy thin strappy ones and I can't wear heels, apart from low wedges.

In desperation I've got these from Gabor - they are really comfortable & I like the colour, but I suspect they might be old lady shoes - am I right?

Not old lady's sandals I think they look nice.

Dozer · 02/05/2018 17:25

Hideous 90s throwbacks! Not old ladyish though.

Dozer · 02/05/2018 17:26

That said my DM has some a bit like that.

Carboholic · 02/05/2018 17:28

Well, my Mum has them and I wouldn't ever ever ever wear them. Having said that, I'm probably hideously u fashionable and would commit any number of fashion sins for comfort. So, if you like them...

BusterGonad · 02/05/2018 18:41

They are ok but a it Cornish pastie for me.

Oblomov18 · 02/05/2018 18:42

Very old lady'ish I'm afraid.

IHaveBrilloHair · 02/05/2018 18:44

Crikey, they are horrid.

niceupthedance · 02/05/2018 18:44

My mums slippers are exactly the same. Sorry

blaaake · 02/05/2018 18:51

Bloody hell they're awful

pinkhorse · 02/05/2018 18:52

Hideous!

GeekyWombat · 02/05/2018 18:54

Size 9 here and I bought some flat, metallic sandals in Hotter (in their outlet actually - £15!). They have quite a few different styles and are very comfy.

Not posting a photo of the actual ones I bought now though cause I’m terrified they’re old lady-ish too - ignorance is bliss! Blush

TroubledLichen · 02/05/2018 18:54

They look like you borrowed them from your Grandmother. Truly awful. Sorry.

Lavalamped · 02/05/2018 18:56

I quite like them. I'm under 30.

SleepFreeZone · 02/05/2018 18:57

I think people are being a bit unkind. You have criteria and they fit it. You didn’t choose them because you thought they were the height of fashion. You wanted function and they tick that box without being too dreadful. I think they’re fine

Grandmaswagsbag · 02/05/2018 18:57

Yes. 100% old lady shoes!

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 02/05/2018 18:58

I like them!

But I'm 49 so that might mean I'm an old lady anyway Wink

They’re fine, honestly.
I really like the colour, and they flatter your feet, and the comfort will ensure you have a smile on your face :)

ChippyMinton · 02/05/2018 19:01

Also, you have a good pair of jeans so I suspect you will not look like an old lady at all.

Kenworthington · 02/05/2018 19:02

I think they’re ghastly personally, but if you like them that’s all that mayters🙌🏼

Moneyissue2 · 02/05/2018 19:03

I think they are lovely and I’m sure knowing the brand they will be super soft and comfy

Luckingfovely · 02/05/2018 19:06

100% yes. Look comfy but ugly - but if they make your feet happy go for it Grin

Lovemusic33 · 02/05/2018 19:06

Yes

NellMangel · 02/05/2018 19:06

Aren't these Menorcan sandals? ASOS sell them therefore they can't be old lady!

SnookieSnooks · 02/05/2018 19:09

I like them!
