Am I too square for this dress?

I love it, but I’m not exactly hourglass in it. I have a bit of monthly bloat just now, but that aside, am I just all wrong for this dress? I’m trying to tell myself the camera adds ten pounds and I genuinely think in the flesh it looks slightly better. But that’s maybe literally wishful thinking

Be brutal.

I think it looks fine, you have a nice figure.

KnockMeDown · 26/04/2018 20:17

Honestly, I think it's absolutely fine.

mybumpisonlypudding · 26/04/2018 20:17

I think it's fine! What's it like from side on?

ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay · 26/04/2018 20:18

Dress is fine. The straps round your ankles totally cut off your legs. Bit stumpy looking.

WisestIsShe · 26/04/2018 20:18

I think you look great. Why do we women do this to ourselves?!

nottakenpersonally · 26/04/2018 20:18

I think that looks fine too!

BabloHoney · 26/04/2018 20:19

You look lovely, dress is a great colour!

justaweeone · 26/04/2018 20:19

Looks lovely but shoes don't look right with it

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 26/04/2018 20:19

It looks fine but personally I think it would look better if the waist was a little higher and it was more fitted round the waist

So in short, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your figure but I think you would look even better in a dress which fitted you slightly better

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/04/2018 20:20

It looks good! But agree about the shoes...get something without an ankle strap if you can as it chops off your leg.

Justwanttoweeinpeace · 26/04/2018 20:23

What everyone else said Smile

MayFayner · 26/04/2018 20:24

Can you get it taken in a bit around the waist? It looks slightly baggy in places.

Pippin8 · 26/04/2018 20:24

I think it looks great, but agree about the shoes. Is it a ChiChi London dress? I’ve got the same in teal & found the sizing on the small size.

Gah81 · 26/04/2018 20:26

It looks lovely to me. Agree with PP on the ankle straps.

formerbabe · 26/04/2018 20:30

I think it's nice...not keen on the shoes with it. Nude heels would be nice.

indisdress · 26/04/2018 20:31

This is it from the back and with different shoes. I only have black non strappy. What other colour??

Black shoes are nice

formerbabe · 26/04/2018 20:34

The back of the dress looks really nice...and I think the black shoes work better.

halfwitpicker · 26/04/2018 20:36

Looks great

wobblebot · 26/04/2018 20:40

Looks brilliant with the back shoes and you have an hourglass shape from the back. It's really nice

indisdress · 26/04/2018 20:40

Yes, Pippin. It’s Chi Chi. Never bought from them before. This is a 10 and I could definitely do with losing a few pounds, but pretty sure a 12 would have been too big

Black*

flubdub · 26/04/2018 20:43

Looks lovely!

Graduate223 · 26/04/2018 20:43

Looks really nice. You could wear a belt to cinch in the waist a bit but I don’t think it needs it really.

indisdress · 26/04/2018 20:53

I’m really not sure about the black shoes? What other colour could I wear? I’m also probably going to need a wrap, so that would be even more black. Doesn’t seem very “summer wedding”.
