Am I too square for this dress?

I love it, but I’m not exactly hourglass in it. I have a bit of monthly bloat just now, but that aside, am I just all wrong for this dress? I’m trying to tell myself the camera adds ten pounds and I genuinely think in the flesh it looks slightly better. But that’s maybe literally wishful thinking

Be brutal.

I like it better with the black shoes and it looks amazing from the back, you have a gorgeous figure! I agree that it needs something to stop it bagging at the front. They do this to Ruth Langsford on This Morning all the time and it drives me mad, she has a fabulous figure but the waistline makes some of her dresses bag and give her a bit of belly/ VPL that isn't there! If it didn't bag there's a bit of tummy there that most of us have but you wouldn't see because of the pattern and fit. I think if it were taken in it'd be perfect, a higher belt could help.

Nude shoes and nude/ pale pink wrap?

indisdress · 26/04/2018 21:07

This is better, isn’t it? Sad Minus the shoes

Hmm I think the pink one is more elegant, with a few minor adjustmentsSmile

Uniglo18 · 26/04/2018 21:11

Yes this dress skims over your figure and doesn't cling and highlight certain areas which the other dress does. The shape of the second dress suits your figure much better than the first dress did.

CreativeMumma · 26/04/2018 21:12

i think you look lovely. what about a nude coloured heel with it?

Strongbeatsskinny · 26/04/2018 21:16

The second dress suits you better and fits your figure nice .

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/04/2018 21:17

The first dress is lovely with the black heels. I like the back and I think it does suit you.
The second dress also suits you, but I don't personally like the pattern. But I'm a but funny with floral, a bit love/hate. However, the colour suits you and it would also be fine with the black heels I.think.

seven201 · 26/04/2018 21:19

I think you look fab. A soft grey for shoes and accessories I think. The second one is pretty but I prefer the first

chimpandzee · 26/04/2018 21:22

I love them both on you.

Where's the second one from?

wobblebot · 26/04/2018 21:23

I prefer the first. For a summer wedding it go for dusty pink or grey shoes in the same style as the black

mrscampbellblackreturns · 26/04/2018 21:26

The second dress is a much more flattering shape. I would return the first dress and maybe keep looking. I have finally learnt to not buy clothes that I don’t feel great in.

samewitches · 26/04/2018 21:45

Second is much better! Unless it bags up without your hands in the pockets?

Gemz1806 · 26/04/2018 21:47

I think they both look good but the second is my favourite. You look more confident in it too. If you feel good you look good and im not sure you feel as good in dress number 1.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 26/04/2018 21:49

I don’t like that you can see the outline of your thong in the first dress from the back. Some people don’t mind that but I don’t think it looks nice at all, sorry.

indisdress · 26/04/2018 21:52

Curly that’s just wear the dress has bunched because I had my arms up.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 26/04/2018 21:52

Ah, ok, sorry! Fair enough.

searchforshinyhair · 26/04/2018 21:56

Genuinely, genuinely think it looks fab!!

NC4Now · 26/04/2018 21:57

I much prefer the first. Have you tried it with Spanx? Sorry to suggest that - I don’t think you look lumpy, they just give a smoother silhouette.

Donthate · 26/04/2018 21:58

Love the second. Where’s it from OP?

indisdress · 26/04/2018 22:00

Thanks. The second is from Warehouse, but last spring. It kind of flattens my already minimalist** boobs.

DextroDependant · 26/04/2018 22:06

Both dresses look nice on you, I personally prefer the second but they are both suitable and both flattering.

ChishandFips33 · 26/04/2018 23:09

Aqua ban water tablets might help with last minute bloating/retention

I like the first dress best though the second is nice too

Bexter801 · 27/04/2018 00:03

Op,no mistaking you have an amazing figure, just need to accintuate it in the right dress Smile which one do you feel better in

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 27/04/2018 05:55

I think the first is more weddingy. Looks lovely with the black shoes.
