Office Hallie sandals - fabulous or frumpy?

I'm sure there's been a thread on these already, but I can't find it. What's the MN verdict - yay or yuck? www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,305/1858530452

And what about the Sorbet sandals www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,60/2968191746

I am for ever on the hunt for the right sandals. Need support, no mules, no heels, as little chance of rubbing as possible for medical reasons. Narrow-ish feet. I had a lovely pair of Yokonos but the soles split very quickly :(

I don’t think they’re frumpy at all and I’m 24, I’d wear them both especially the Hallie sandals they look really comfortable.

whattheheck2 · 18/04/2018 15:52

The sorbet ones are nice :)

RatherBeRiding · 18/04/2018 15:58

Both really nice - not frumpy at all. Love the sorbet ones.

PasDeDeux · 18/04/2018 16:41

The Hallie ones are a little bit frumpy IMO (Im 27). The sorbet ones are cute though!

zolaaa · 18/04/2018 16:48

I’ve ordered some hallies off the back of the last thread (think it was ‘Summer sandals’ or similar name) they havenot arrived yet but they look really comfy and one in lovely colours.I like the others too but hate having to do up ankle straps!

zolaaa · 18/04/2018 16:49
  • come in lovely colours
Madbengalmum · 18/04/2018 16:54

The hallie don't look frumpy on at all. They are ridiculously comfy too. A much nicer option than fugly sandals.

BringMeCoffeePlease · 18/04/2018 17:13

The Hallie ones are frumpy. The Sorbet ones are quite nice but I've seen similar nicer ones. Have you looked at Schuh?

EnidButton · 18/04/2018 17:31

I really like both of them. The Sorbet ones slightly more as I like that metallic finish in summer.

What's frumpy about the Hallies?

EnidButton · 18/04/2018 17:35

I've had a look and personally prefer some of the other Hallie colours but that's just because dark sandals don't suit my skin colour. I still really like them.

CountFosco · 18/04/2018 17:41

Hsllies are frumpy. It's the sensible small heel (go completely flat), and the straps that are neither strappy enough or chunky enough. And the bit at the ankle isn't great either, it looks sensible rather than a statement.

I like the Sorbets (lots) more but I'd always go for real Birkies after wasting my money on Birk-a-likes.

DBoo · 18/04/2018 17:45

Sorbet are better. The soles on the hallie are a bit frumpy.

peachypetite · 18/04/2018 18:05

Hallie look so comfy! Tempted

McDougal · 18/04/2018 18:50

Definitely prefer the sorbet. Might hop on over and order some now actually.

Thegirlisnotright · 18/04/2018 18:56

Does anyone know how wide these sandals are, or know how office come up width wise? Thanks!

Flutist · 18/04/2018 18:56

Sorbet are nice. Hallie are slightly frumpy... the suede fabric and the little heel. The best sandals I've ever had are Saltwater sandals.

EnidButton · 18/04/2018 23:08

See I think the Saltwater sandals are frumpy. Just shows you how subjective it is. Although I can see why the heel makes them a bit grumpy now it's been pointed out.
I find sandals so uncomfortable though so the thick soft looking suede looked good.

EnidButton · 18/04/2018 23:08

Grin at 'grumpy'.

alphajuliet123 · 18/04/2018 23:16

I love the nude suede Hallies and also the blue ones, might have to go and have a look in store.

Onegoodmutha · 18/04/2018 23:16

Hallies are frumpy. My mum and aunties have them (mid 60s)

alphajuliet123 · 18/04/2018 23:17

Full range of about 20 colours:

GrannyRoberts · 18/04/2018 23:18

Love the sorbets! I've actually got the Hallies in gold and they are really comfy and I don't think they are overly frumpy, although I think some of the other darker colours have potential to be.

VladPutin · 19/04/2018 07:33

both awful

Tanfastic · 19/04/2018 08:23

I'm not keen on the Hallie. I think it's the soles. Remind me of something I'd point my mum to as they look comfy. I'm all for comfort but personally I wouldn't choose these. Each to their own though.
