What trends would you like to see die a death in 2018?

For me:

Frills on tops
Big, stupid sleeves

'Dipped hem' tops. I think that's what they're called? Where the back of the top is longer than the front. I don't think they look good on anyone, but especially if you have a curvy bum. I look and feel like I'm wearing a nappy!

Uggs, as in the classic style, are not a 'trend' now. They are just uggs. I never understand why people get so wound up about them. If you don't like them, then don't buy a pair. I love mine because I live in a village, am not trying to impress fellow fashionistas, and hate wearing socks.

Peep toe boots

Ohh this is going to be cathartic !

Cold shoulder tops

Wide legged trousers that end mid calf or just above the ankle - who needs cold ankle s in winter ? Or weird wet flappy trousers ?

Wearing White trainers with everything - just no sometimes - no it doesn't make a beautiful dress 'casual ' it just looks wrong and sloppy

Crop tops

Culottes ( another form of the first item)

Trousers and jeans that are too short and tight (yes on males too)

Artificial looking make up - heavy unnatural eyebrows, over contouring, false lashes,

Crazy pointed nails - just ugh and unhygienic

Bomber jackets (don't suit me)

Baggy high waisted jeans

Ripped jeans

And this is a thread for fashion and makeup/hair trends, not lifestyle ones...

I really don't see the point of a winter shoe ( I'm looking at you boot) without toes and heels in.
They look ridiculous. Either where a boot or a sandal.

I’ve just heard it described on Radio 4 as a trend. Apparently ‘Veganuary’ is a thing.

Anything involving uneven gems or cut outs.

If you're a vegan then you should not be wearing leather, fur, silk, wool...
so it does apply indirectly to Style & Beauty.
