So I always cleanse or double cleanse at night but when I'm showering in the morning I love a good splash and wash my face.

I've been using Clinique face wash but wondering what other good options there is for dehydrated 40 year old skin?!

i'm 33, work outdoors. I use coal tar soap!! i'm clean and smell it and have very good skin. I do use moisturiser though. i suspect i may be in the minority in style and beauty!

ReturnofSaturn · 20/12/2017 21:46

Just a face cloth and water.

BerylPeryl · 20/12/2017 21:47

Soap. Face and body. My skin is better for it!

Tinselistacky · 20/12/2017 21:48

TheMathsTrainee · 20/12/2017 21:49

I use Neals Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm at night. Sometimes micellar water. Also REN micropolish thing.

bendywindy · 20/12/2017 21:51

neutrogena 'blackhead exfoliating' wash. it does buffer all for blackheads but it's nice and mild, doesn't stink and ive been using it longer than anything else. since i was about 14 i reckon! I'm addicted. i have to pack it in though as it's got micro beads in it Sad

Elemis dynamic resurfacing face wash

PickAChew · 20/12/2017 21:59

REN Evercalm gentle cleansing milk. The first time I've veered away from clinique for about 20 years and not needed to go straight back. It's lovely (and included in their 20% off offers).

Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth cleanser. Gentle and smells heavy.

TheOtherGirl · 20/12/2017 22:00

La Roche posay effaclar wash

EasilyDistracted77 · 20/12/2017 22:01

Boots baby soap, and a couple of times a week with St Ives face scrub. Followed by Nivea soft moisturising cream.

BackforGood · 20/12/2017 22:03

Make sure hands are really clean then just use cold water every morning.

PaxUniversalis · 20/12/2017 22:03

Nivea Daily Essentials Cleansing Creme Wash tube 150ml from Boots.

Dermymc · 20/12/2017 22:03

Water in the shower plus whatever moisturiser is on offer.

Thursdayis · 20/12/2017 22:04

I find soap too drying
I need hydration of some sorts but I'm literally just talking face washes here as I cleanse other times..

Water, that's all.

sonlypuppyfat · 20/12/2017 22:10

Absolutely nothing splash of water to get the sleep out of my eyes. I'm 50 and have no wrinkles

riledandharrassed · 20/12/2017 22:10

You need a PH balanced cleanser . Something like La Roshe Posay Toleraine range or the Creme Levante Hydratante one ( hydrate ) . I use this and love it

You should watch Dr Sam Buntings YouTube videos .

You also need a Hyluronic Acid serum which you apply to damp skin which locks in moisture and draws in water to the skin . Get the ordinary one it’s about £5 and is the active ingredient in heaps of overpriced products .

There’s also a great mask , £11 from Avene available in boots .

riledandharrassed · 20/12/2017 22:11

Also St Ives scrub is really damaging for your skin :(

8mileeminem · 20/12/2017 22:11

Lush coal face in the morning and elemis face cleanser at night in the shower. Then olay/elemis/Clarins moisturiser.

FoxyBoxter · 20/12/2017 22:17

Liz Earlle Hot Cloth Cleanser, followed by the toner & moisturiser - it really is the best! Check it out online for fantastic price reductions. My sister got me on to this & I only wish she'd shared it with me sooner. My teenage daughter is now hooked (Grinhave had to buy her some for Christmas to stop my supply from dwindling!) Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 20/12/2017 22:20

I use Heimish All Clean Balm and Corsx good morning cleanser at night to double cleanse and just the Corsx in the morning to wash my face in the shower.
