Hi folks,

Some of you may already receive our weekly Swears By newsletter, which is a round-up of products (predominantly style and beauty goodies) that Mumsnetters have been recommending to each other. But, for those of you who don’t, here’s what MNers have been swearing by this month:

Ugg Abree Mini Leather Boots, £185

Waterproof leather Uggs with their trademark sheepskin lining and a side zip for a slim fit

"I recommend Ugg Abree boots. They have a side zip, so are more fitted than other styles and my feet are so cosy. They're also water-resistant. I almost feel guilty wearing them – how can an outdoor shoe feel so indoor?"

If you want to be first to know about the next cult product, you can sign up to the newsletter here.

You can also check out the Swears By page here.

Mumsnet Swears By is free and independent from advertising but if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

Sharish Blue Magic Gin, £32.50

A magical colour-changing gin – just add tonic and wait for the transformation

"I love Sharish Blue Magic gin. Its botanicals make it turn from blue to pink when tonic is added, so it has wow factor as a present, as well as tasting really good."

Stila Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush in Rosewater, £20

A lightweight, sheer blush in a universally flattering shade

"I'd really recommend the Stilla watercolour blush in Rosewater. It's really easy to apply (with fingers) and lasts brilliantly. It's also a lovely, very natural colour that would suit most people."

Origins Night & Day Delights Skincare Gift Set, £33.15

A real treat for the skin – contains a day cream, night cream, exfoliator and mask

"I got this Origins set the other day. It is really, really lovely and I have noticed a discernible difference. It smells great and is nice and rich, but not greasy. My skin feels so much softer. The set is a real bargain too – the night cream is usually about that price on its own."

River Island Faux Leather Skinny Fit Trousers, £40

Mid-rise faux leather trousers that can be dressed up or down

Bourjois Liner Pinceau Eyeliner, £6.99

High-precision eyeliner for perfect cat eye flicks

"Been using this one for a few years. Absolutely perfect. Soft, long brush means it doesn't drag so you get a really smooth line. It is also quite "wet" so you can do several strokes in one place easily. Have tried others and hate them in comparison to this one. Love. Love. Love."

Can anyone recommend a mascara that doesn't smudge please, when I'm working I can be reading or doing paperwork with my head down, I end up with huge smudges on my eyelids and under my eyes I look like a bloody panda. I use Lancôme the one with the wonky brush, I have been recommended to use the maybelline waterproof on in the bright yellow packaging but it's far worse than the Lancôme.

I wonder if the face cream I use under foundation makes my skin greasy and that's why I get transfer.

I can't do without mascara, I'd greatly appreciate recommendations x

hollygolipo · 23/12/2017 19:59

Any tubing mascara - they don't smudge at all and wash off in little tubes in the shower or with water. Clinique (Full To Flutter I think) and Kevin Aucoin from Space NK are the best IMO.

Accountant222 · 23/12/2017 23:32

Hollygolipo thanks I will try out xx
