Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

I was looking forward to the lip balm

PeppersTheCat · 11/12/2017 14:23

Ffs that stuff is amazing

Agreed! My skin is GLOWING BABY! (Imagine Jeffree Star voice).

Would you use it instead of a facial scrub? I used it after one Blush

The lipstick is growing on me. I like to combine it with another to tame the colour.

Was very pleased to see the beauty blender - love the shape! The texture feels like the infamous real techniques one. But after using it I'm disappointed that it sucks up so much product. Booo. I tried applying with it both damp and dry.

So far I have the following totally unused products up for swaps:

Mascara.
Nail polish.
Shower oil.

Would swap for any of the other products.

YolandasFridge · 11/12/2017 14:48

Tried the amazing skin shedding peel on my husband just for fun and NOTHING

My face came off practically in chunks it was like something off sporner corner

I must have less well exfoliated skin than him!

SymphonyofShadows · 11/12/2017 14:49

I got the lip balm which I gave to DS (11) as he always gets dry lips in winter. I would have quite liked a sponge.

Anyone else tempted to just rip open the lot?

lurkingfromhome · 11/12/2017 15:40

I'm planning on ripping open the lot on Christmas Day. Keep taking the odd sneaky peek at this thread though just to see what lies in store. Will there be a proper swaps thread going by Boxing Day?

Trills · 11/12/2017 15:48

Not a fan of different calendars having different stuff.

I don't mind if some of the stuff is not for me. That's how a lucky dip works.

I do mind if someone else got something in box 11 that I'd have liked better!

WindyWednesday · 11/12/2017 16:09

Are there any other boxes that might have an alternative product inside.

rookiemere · 11/12/2017 16:20

Agreed twills.
I'm now slightly grumpy as I would have liked and used a lip balm but the sponge is of no use to me.
I'm

SaltySeaBird · 11/12/2017 16:41

Hareinthewoods sorry I meant I want to swap a sponge for lip balm!

I wear foundation maybe 12 days a year, I wear UV lip balm maybe 200 days of the year as I travel a lot and I’m on boats a lot.

SaltySeaBird · 11/12/2017 16:42

Like others I don’t mind random and some products I won’t use but I don’t like it that others got what would have been my favourite item so far and I got the most useless one so far. They should all be the same.

SaltySeaBird · 11/12/2017 16:44

@PodgeBod do you want to swap?

PeppersTheCat · 11/12/2017 17:05

I spritz a facial mist after foundation and again after everything is applied

Would a setting spray produce the same results?

nothing worse than a critical oil!

Xmas Grin

You can use the sponge for powder?

Google "baking your face" and enjoy :)

snowflakestar · 11/12/2017 17:11

Yes, you can call some of us miserable as much as you like but a small sponge and a lip balm are not really comparable. It's fine when you get a lucky dip with regards to lipstick colour or make-up bag pattern etc.

PeppersTheCat · 11/12/2017 17:24

I was happy with the sponge/blender as I use one daily and they need to be replaced fairly regularly. Would have been gutted with the lip balm.

happypoobum · 11/12/2017 17:30

Really glad I got the beauty sponge as I needed a new one. Happy today Xmas Smile

Out of interest did everyone get the same sponge (saying sculpting sponge)? Or was the beauty blender a different thing?

PeppersTheCat · 11/12/2017 17:41

Mine was a purply-pink sculpting sponge.

MoonlightBay · 11/12/2017 18:05

I got a sculpting sponge. I felt a bit meh initially (even more so after reading about the lip balm). However, it is not something I would buy, so I am keen to try it out. Maybe it will be a must have beauty itemSmile

The only thing that I didn't like was the nail varnish, purely because it doesn't suit my skin tone.

Overall I am impressed and so thankful that it doesn't contain the shower of glittery shite in the House of Fraser oneGrin

MoonlightBay · 11/12/2017 18:06

At which point is the transformation complete, when using the reveal peel?Confused

snowflakestar · 11/12/2017 18:25

Once lots of skin/ product has peeled off your face, by the sound of it. Didn't happen for me though. Reassured to read YolandasFridges' post - that it's not just me!

Haha, I was just moving my calendar and only just realised that all the contents are listed on the back.. there are 26 items listed and it says you will get 25 of the 26, so we may get different things.
