Please can you make your sailor tops available in some non-striped plain colours? I love the shape and the weight of the fabric but some days I don't feel stripy. A couple of neutrals (black or navy plus white or cream) and a bright every season would be perfect.

Thanks.

Anyone else got a request for a clothing company (other than M&S - we've had whole threads about them!)

I'd say the same to joules about their Breton harbour tops. They did some plain ones a few years ago but in pastel colours. I'd love a plain one in a bright red or blue

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 17/10/2017 14:40

It's odd isn't it? Seems like such an easy win. I'm sure they'd sell two at a time more easily if you could choose one plain, one striped.

Dear everybody,

Please make us some fucking tops for SS2018 (Southern Hemisphere) WITHOUT ruffles or frills. I already did these in 1986 and I'm not going again.

Love
Koala.

BikeRunSki · 17/10/2017 14:45

Dear Seasalt

Please make the waists in your dresses lower. The overall length is fine, but your waistlines tend to sit right under my boobs, even if they are not actually that style.

Dear Shoemakers

A lot of women have feet bigger than an 8 that’s days.

Dear Next

Please make the lower part of your trousers wider. I can not get any of them over my calf muscles.

PickAChew · 17/10/2017 14:48

I would love their sailor tops in plain colours, or even some of their less busy prints. I do like the heaviness of them and the fact that they're not too stretchy so skim, rather than cling. And they just don't pill. That's the lovely tight knit for you.

SheffieldStealer · 17/10/2017 14:49

Dear Seasalt

Please source some decent knitwear suppliers. I've got two of your long cardigans that were gorgeous for two or three wears - beautiful colours, elegant pattern, flattering shape - but almost immediately after they started to go so bobbly and shabby, they're only good for sitting around in.

Anatidae · 17/10/2017 14:52

Dear whitestuff,

Stop using crap non natural fibres, we are not daft, we know that rayon and modal are cheap. Bring back jade jeggings. Please.

PickAChew · 17/10/2017 14:52

While I'm here...

Dear Fatface,

Just pack it in with the bloody horrible viscose while your menswear is all made out of proper natural fibres.

KoalaD · 17/10/2017 14:57

Oh, and Asos...stop calling it a 'light woven material' on your website description.

It's polyester.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 17/10/2017 14:58

Yes! In fact, dear everybody, enough with the man made fibres at cotton/linen prices. I'm in my 40s and only have to look at polyester to come out in a sweat.
Thank you.

OP, what did they say when you suggested it to them? Or have they not replied yet?

WindyWednesday · 17/10/2017 16:07

Yes, Joules please do a non stripy non garish print harbour top.

I live in them and wpuld love to look a bit different. I'm sure the the other mums at school say, oh look here comes windy in her stripy top again.... does she ever wash it. It's a different top, but looks so like the other ones.

Also make them longer, they do shrink whatever you might say. I don't want to be wearing a crop top.

FeralBeryl · 17/10/2017 16:20

BikeRun I’ve noticed the leg thing loads lately!
My trousers never fit around the waist if they fit my hips, now I’ve got the added skin tight pull around my calves Angry

holidayqueriwifi · 17/10/2017 16:23

Thank you WindyWednesday! They DO shrink! I thought it was my boobs getting bigger Blush!

Anatidae · 17/10/2017 16:44

I am in the middle of unpicking my most stained and manky Breton sea salt shirt and copying it in plain cotton (with an extra four cm on the length)

Lidl have overlockers on sale just now for about 120 quid - if anyone fancies taking up sewing. T shirts are super easy and I resent paying thirty quid for something I can whip up for a tenner

Gingefringe · 17/10/2017 16:44

Dear White Stuff

Please do your shoes in a size 3.

WindyWednesday · 17/10/2017 16:53

holiday yes they do. While I admit I may put on weight, my arms cannot grow longer, so therefore Joules tops shrink.

I never tumble them, and pull them into shape after washing, but shrink they do.

I buy a size bigger than I need, and it still ends up short and short sleeved. I told them in the shop that they shrink, they denied it of course.

Waxlyrically · 17/10/2017 16:55

Dear sportswear manufacturers
Please can you make a range of women's sportswear that is functional and comfortable like men's ranges. Please ensure it is not clingy, skimpy, emblazoned with pink or comprised mainly of revealing mesh panels.
Thanks

NikiBabe · 17/10/2017 16:56

Ooh know it isnt what you're looking for but I've been looking for a stripey sailor top.

Off to have a look at seasalt.

Thanks op Blush

SeraphinaDombegh · 17/10/2017 17:08

Argh yes, shoes! I've been a size 8.5 since I was 14 and in over 20 years, the number of women I've known who are the same size as me or larger has increased. So why on earth are there still shoe manufacturers that stop at size 8? It's maddening!

PuppyMonkey · 17/10/2017 17:13

Dear all shops

WTF are all these repulsive frilly sleeve about? Have a word with yourselves.

jalopy · 17/10/2017 17:59

Dear Zara

Why?

OldJoseph · 17/10/2017 18:11

Dear ebay selllers

Please put an adequate description of your garment when selling it. 'Nice blue top from Hobbs' tells me nothing.

Regards OJ

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 17/10/2017 18:14

Dear White Stuff.

If I wanted everyone to get an eyeful I would walk around topless.
Please make your necklines higher.

Ttbb · 17/10/2017 18:14

I second waistlines
For seasalt. I know you are a Cornish company but I love your fabrics and your styles but I can't buy them because I look like I a child who has outgrown her clothes. Not a good look.
