In your opinion, are these nails long or short?

Excuse my nails. I know that that they're not perfect and I do them myself, but I'm just wondering if you would consider them long or short (or medium?). I know it's not important, but I work in an office and I don't want them to be too long. Opinions please?

I think they are fine - they are not talons and look well kept in comparison to my stumpy mess

It can be a bit difficult to type with them but I've gotten used to it by now. Generally doesn't slow me down.

Id say medium but for people who have short nails- they would find them long.

But Hal, the noise for others is very inconsiderate, unless you have an office on your own? In any case, if they caused trouble for you getting your job done till you got used to them, they're clearly inappropriate.

KarateKitten I suppose you're right. I actually do work in an office thankfully for others I suppose. I actually type with the pads of my fingers so actually not much clicking going on

Long but not quite the terrifying claw-like long that seems to be popular.

From the middle picture it looks like they go 5mm past the end of your fingers? I'd say medium would be up to 2-3mm past the end. Short would be "not past the end of your fingers".

I never really recovered from the woman who taught me how to use contact lenses in Specsavers having talons twice the length of yours! THAT was inappropriate for the job! Although it did motivate me to get the damn things in and out without help because there was no way she was getting anywhere near my eyes with them. Not just the length, I imagined all sorts of nasties lurking behind them. Yours look conservative in comparison. They actually look very nice, a bit longer than I'd have, but I like my nails relatively short.

That women in the photo, I've seen her - or a similar one - on the tube.

At first I thought she was wearing bracelets, her hails were sort of curled around her wrist and were bright orange.

I'm still haven't quite recovered from that shock.
