In your opinion, are these nails long or short?

Excuse my nails. I know that that they're not perfect and I do them myself, but I'm just wondering if you would consider them long or short (or medium?). I know it's not important, but I work in an office and I don't want them to be too long. Opinions please?

Long. Not bothered about the typing but I wouldn't want to shake hands with you.

thepurplehen · 02/10/2017 21:14

I'd say they were long, but it too long for an office if you're comfortable with them.

PassiveAgressiveQueen · 02/10/2017 21:21

Very long ng

carolhere thank you!

Pinkvivi22 I didn't know that some people consider them too long for the office but I suppose I did ask for opinions!

No offence, but .....ouch! Unless it was one of those awful limp handshakes that some women do which are even worse.

I would class them as medium, I have mine usually a little longer. The only problem I have is fastening tiny buttons on baby clothes! You soon get used to them.

Queen
Yours look lovely and very natural. Are they gel extensions/overlay or acrylic?

Long and way too pointy for an office.

Feawen · 03/10/2017 10:44

They're long, but if they don't affect your work and aren't against dress-code, then I guess there's no problem. Hearing them clattering on the keyboard might be mildly annoying but people do worse things in my office.

JoJoSM2 · 03/10/2017 10:55

I'd say long to very long.

The attached photos are what I'd call short and medium.

I'm going to say they are medium to long. It really depends on how long your nail bed is (that's the bit of nail that is attached to the skin underneath your nail) versus how much of a nail-tip you have over the top of your fingertips.

Using the images above, I'd say that Queen has quite a short nail bed in relation to the size of the nail tips. In the first picture you posted OP, they look medium length and in the last picture, they do appear long. They look perfectly manageable for typing and other office related work.

Kipi · 03/10/2017 11:13

They aren’t that long! And they aren’t ‘ridiculous’ as some pp have said 🙄
I’d say they are a perfect length. I can just about grow mine to about that, maybe a tad shorter, but then they get snapped by the everyday mum shit.
Your nails are lovely, have them how you like.

MeriReu · 03/10/2017 11:14

Going against the grain here but they're really short for me, I usually have long long nails though.

sunshineandhappy · 03/10/2017 12:46

Those are long. These are mine, I'd say they are medium length, and much more practical. I hate seeing long nails, I always worry about how clean they are.

I'd say they're long but a nice length, I don't like nails when they get too long. No idea why people think they're inappropriate for an office though Confused
