In your opinion, are these nails long or short?

Excuse my nails. I know that that they're not perfect and I do them myself, but I'm just wondering if you would consider them long or short (or medium?). I know it's not important, but I work in an office and I don't want them to be too long. Opinions please?

I work in an office. These are mine, will have three weeks of growth before they get re-done. I can type perfectly

Definitely long OP my nails are about that length just now with 3 weeks of regrowth trying to eek out another week as going on holiday.

For those saying it's inconsiderate to others when you work in an office my work bestie always jokingly complains about the noise when I type but to be honest as I have raised keys on my keyboard & type extremely fast there's always noise when I type irrespective of nail length - rattling keys is just background noise in an office environment just the same as phones ringing, printers, photocopiers etc are.

These are SHORT 😂 I keep them short due to working in the construction trade yet having to attend meetings the odd time..

I really need to make a nail appointment

ilovecherries thank you! And I don't blame you, I don't want anyone sticking their talons in my eyeballs. Same with gynecologists, for obvious reasons. I find them painful enough without extras added on.

Polkadotties your nails are freakin gorgeous! I love the pink/nude colour. Very simple yet pretty and elegant. Love em!

I don't understand how you can type with just the pads of your fingers OP, don't your nails bang on the row of keys above?

I've played piano since I was 4 years old. I guess I just have flexible fingers? I've also played piano with my long nails. I don't think they do, and if they do its masked my the typing of the keys since I type really fast.

I love the colour of your nails btw!

Omg these look so handy! Would make typing easier and eliminate the clicking of nails!

They are far too long to play the piano with a curved hand, my teacher would have a fit!

Mine are almost exactly the same as Bucksfrizz. I don't need to type but still couldn't cope with them being any longer.

I actually think that they do look longer in the pictures than they do in person. They're maybe like a 1/5 of an inch past my fingertip? I do usually keep the nails on my thumb a bit shorter out of convenience for things like texting, pulling up boots, jeans etc.

Piece You might want to consider filing them down a bit. I mean "you do you hun" but they are just a tad on the long side.

My piano teacher used to get her scissors out and cut my nails there and then if she heard them clicking on the keys when I was playing...

That said, several people (including me) have longish nails in my office and it doesn't affect their work or bother others.

My nails are about the same as yours, I'd say they're long but don't cause me any issues at all! I work in an office and don't understand why PPs are suggesting they're not appropriate for an office?!
