Arghh, getting a small amount of Juvaderm in my top lip on the 9th October to even up my lips as my bottom lip is quite a lot bigger than the top.

Only problem is I'm a compete wuss with pain and hate needles (think cry when I have to have a blood test!)

Anyone here had them? Do they really hurt?

Ronald,they're lovely and very natural.

RonaldMcDonald · 07/10/2017 13:39

Thanks, I don't think all 'work' has to be hugely noticeable
I think some people like it to be, they really like to see what they've had done
I'm 45 now and my lips had really started to disappear.

PericardiumOne · 07/10/2017 14:20

I had the teeniest tiny amount on my upper lip to even it with my lower lip. Nobody has noticed except DH who says it looks better.

verite · 07/10/2017 15:14

I think it is totally up to the individual (although I’m not generally a fan) and Ronald yours look v natural. But hazy - your lips are gorgeous. Also, because your bottom lip is so full, if you add filler to the top lip, you are highly likely to get the dreaded trout pout (imo).

MCBeatsandGrindah · 07/10/2017 15:21

OP I think a lot of people would want surgery to have lips like yours! They are a beautiful shape.

OldPony · 07/10/2017 15:24

Please don't do it, your lips are lovely.

And to those who say people don't notice, we do! It's fine if you don't move but when you speak your face looks weird. Most people look most beautiful when animated.

wowbutter · 07/10/2017 15:25

I thought your top lip was supposed to be thinner than the bottom?! Most peoples are....
unless you are from a specific ethnic background.

I'm really confused.

RonaldMcDonald · 07/10/2017 19:14

Lips like everything else are a matter of preference....so everyone saying the top lip is supposed to be thinner than the bottom...yy if that is what you like or want
We've all seen lips of different shapes and sizes and they vary wildly

My top lip space became longer, the space between nose to lip line and I felt it looked a little John Major
my top lip seemed to no longer have the volume to sit up..it sort of was deflating in on itself
Some of this was volume loss in my cheeks affecting my lips. I had deep filler in my cheeks and that helped, then a little in my upper lip

I had my lips done about 3 weeks ago so this isn't the end product....my upper lip will reduce a little and I'm fine with that

I pay a lot to see someone decent and he refuses masses of business.
My v good friend goes elsewhere and has a ml top and bottom as she enjoys a much larger effect. Horses for courses and she loves it.

I think that Kylie Jenner looks a mile better. How much chance, living the life she lives in the family she is born into, she had of accepting the lip mouth jaw nature gave her is another story and I hope the decisions were hers

Jiggler · 07/10/2017 19:21

Kylie Jenner looks bizarre. Her lips can look okay in some carefully filtered selfies but when you see how her lips look when she's talking they just look ugly and misshapen. She should have stopped 10mls ago.

Airbiscuits · 07/10/2017 19:29

Well my husband came back today and didn't even notice. I asked him what he thought I'd had done (he knew I was doing "something") and he guessed Botox. Which I have not had (yet).

Pffft. Basically 0.5ml in your top lip won't be noticeable to anyone but you. Whether you think that is worth the money....well, that's your shout.
I'm going back in 3 weeks to see if I need a bit more in bottom lip, as she didn't really touch that, as it is quite full anyway but it's still a bit wonky.

paintingmary · 07/10/2017 19:33

I had juviderm once in my lips at very good cosmetic surgery clinic. I now have scar tissue in my top lip which annoys me.

I got lucky because no long term visible damage done, but I would never do it again.

3luckystars · 07/10/2017 19:42

Your lips look like an 'after' photo already!!!!

TheSandersonSisters · 07/10/2017 19:46

Hi hun ive been getting lip fillers for about 4/5 years now, i have just recently booked to have them done again funnily enough as i havent had them re touched for anout 7months. I abdolutely love getting my filler. I dont get juvederm though i get teosyl as for me it suited me much better and was far more natural, look and touch wise. I go to an anaesthetics professional on rodney st. In liverpool and i couldnt reccomend her more, her name is angela kerr and i just love how natural and realistic she does them. I dont think it hurts too much, but it can be painfull when you get around the cupids bow area IMO, and just above your lip line in the corners. My bottom always hurts more than the top for some reason Hmm. Ive never had dental block or anything just always had the numbing cream. Id say the pain feels like a bee sting. Afterwards you look like youve been punched in the face though, and dont be alarmed if they look bigger than you wanted at first, that is mostly swelling and when they settle they always look much more natural. If you like i could PM you my before and after pictures? Hope you love your new lips! Wink

TheSandersonSisters · 07/10/2017 19:48

Oh and OP i get 2 ml spead out between the two wherever it is needed. Always more in my bottom than my top obv.

EnidButton · 08/10/2017 01:05

Hazy Your lips are perfect. Not just in a 'there's nothing wrong with them' way but genuinely really really nice. People get fillers to get their lips to look like yours.

Whisky2014 · 08/10/2017 10:47

Op you have really nice lips. Don't fill them with shit!
