Arghh, getting a small amount of Juvaderm in my top lip on the 9th October to even up my lips as my bottom lip is quite a lot bigger than the top.

Only problem is I'm a compete wuss with pain and hate needles (think cry when I have to have a blood test!)

Anyone here had them? Do they really hurt?

Don't do it. No one ever looks better with lip filler - you just look like you've had lip filler

I agree! The photo examples don't look better, they look like she's had filler.

MadisonMontgomery · 28/09/2017 11:17

Wow that looks fab! I have a tiny mouth and always wanted fillers, but scared I would end up with a trout pout or like I said that my mouth would end up stretched.

Leilaniii · 28/09/2017 11:18

It can look amazing. Look at Kylie Jenner! Who honestly thinks she looked better before?

CremeDeSudo · 28/09/2017 11:21

Thanks Smile I'm smiling a bit on the after pic so makes the top look a little bit smaller than it would've otherwise perhaps. I felt it really made a difference and a friend said it 'transformed my face' and is planning on having hers done too.

I think just tell them you don't want to look like Olivia!

Leilaniii · 28/09/2017 11:27

Creme, how many ml did you have put in, if you don't mind me asking?

Paintbox · 28/09/2017 11:30

Crem you look nice in both pics but I reckon a lot of why the second pic looks nicer is a smile, more makeup, even skin tone etc. Your skin looks so perfect on the second pic it looks airbrushed!

CremeDeSudo · 28/09/2017 11:35

That's 2ml.

The photo is good as I'm about to go out and using my phones selfie mode!! The older one is an old phone at the end of the day!

Honestly, smiling would mean no lips at all.

I know the concerns from others but I think if you can explain what look you want and don't want someone who is experienced and qualifies should be able to get it right.

The bruising and swelling was a bit unpleasant but not enough to put me off. I've thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with lipsticks this year and have never felt so confident!

Tryingtokeepfit · 28/09/2017 11:37

With regards to pain relief. They might either give you just the numing cream (emla cream)

Or give you a full dental block. Some doctors won't bother /don't offer the dental block.

It's mind over matter, I'm a little scared but tell myself I can't cry as it's for a cosmetic thing, it's not like I have no choice!

retainertrainer · 28/09/2017 11:46

Kylie Jenners lips look absolutely horrendous!!!!!

I'm another vote for don't do it. I know 2 people who have had it done, very subtle but it still just looks a bit weird and it's obvious they've had injections. They think it looks great though (which I suppose is all that counts) but no ones brace or honest enough to tell them it looks odd.

retainertrainer · 28/09/2017 11:48

She looked so much better before.

So I have booked in to have lip filler :terrified:
Ropsleybunny · 28/09/2017 11:51

Are you insane?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 28/09/2017 11:51

It's not just her lips that are different in those pics, she's more polished over all now. That's like comparing high school photos with pics when you're 22.

Hazysummerevenings · 28/09/2017 11:53

I actually think Kylie Jenner's lips look horrendous tbh and that's a look I'll definitely be trying to avoid!!

Creme, yours look natural which is definitely the look I want!

Did it hurt a lot? I'm just such a wuss with needles and pain! Blush

AnnabelleLecter · 28/09/2017 11:59

I don't think the after pics look better either.
Creme looks like creme but with make up on in the second picture.
Can't see what was so wrong with Kylie Jenner's lips before. Looks like she's used a bicycle pump now.

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 28/09/2017 12:01

It can look amazing. Look at Kylie Jenner! Who honestly thinks she looked better before?

Me!

Kylie Jenner was exactly who I was thinking of as I read this thread. Her new lips are an absolute horror show. They can look okay in carefully taken selfies but when you see her talking you can see how misshapen they really are.

retainertrainer · 28/09/2017 12:03

But your own lips look natural! I hate that woman now feel that thin lips aren't attractive or it gives them low confidence and we're injecting crap into them to plump them up. It makes me sad. I bet you're absolutely beautiful as you are. I've got thin lips,no top lip at all when I smile (same as 99% of the people I know!) and I think my lips look great!

ShizzleYoDrizzle · 28/09/2017 12:13

I think it's so easy for lip fillers to go wrong and to make the top lip look distorted. It either sticks out too much or the actual lip line itself become distorted. Plus the idea of upkeep with these things like botox and fillers put me off. Once you're on than hamster wheel there must be some pressure to keep doing it.

Naturally full lips are gorgeous but just not very easy to replicate convincingly. Karlie Kloss' thinnish lips haven't done her any harm. She'd look more generic if she decided to go for fillers.

So I have booked in to have lip filler :terrified:
minipie · 28/09/2017 12:26

Leaving aside whether it looks good, I'd be worried about long term effects. Fillers have only been widely used fairly recently so we have no idea of the potential long term side effects.

Paintbox · 28/09/2017 12:30

Omg that Jenner girl looks like two different people

CremeDeSudo · 28/09/2017 12:31

I think I'd be happy with Karlie Kloss size!

Girl behind me in Boots just now looked awful..

Numbing injections hurt a little bit then the rest was pain free. Except when we realised it hasn't deadened on one side. That hurt a bit! Afterwards it feels a bit hot and a bit tender but mainly just a bit weird!

Look how gorgeous her thin lips look.

Paintbox · 28/09/2017 12:36

Yes she's looks lovely dame

Paintbox · 28/09/2017 12:37

CatsAreFromOuterSpace · 28/09/2017 12:38

don't do it - it looks (generally) unnatural

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 28/09/2017 12:38

www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Kate+Middleton+Duke+Duchess+Cambridge+Visits+7XuXsuPxsnKl.jpg Kate would look dire with bigger lips
