Here

They're pricey enough and online and I know there's free shipping and returns but the hassle of sending them back....

Would love some opinions. Thanks.

I think they're nice but I personally wouldn't spend £160 on them. You can get very similar boots much cheaper than that, but of course if you have the money for them then it's ultimately your decision. They're nice, but not £160 nice xx

AnyFucker · 22/09/2017 13:24

Boring

ScarletForYa · 22/09/2017 13:24

They're Mum boots!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 22/09/2017 13:24

Mum boots......

Bluntness100 · 22/09/2017 13:27

I think they are really nice, very classic. They aren't mum boots at all, my daughter who is twenty has a similar pair she wears with skinny jeans and leggings.

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 13:28

Fuckit. Yeah they're maybe a bit boring. But mumboots ....Shock
The Ultimate Mumsnet Putdown. Sob. My sensibilities have been sensibl-ised.

Well I suppose I did ask for opinions.

Oh x-post. Thanks Bluntness. Maybe all is not lost. Maybe I'm ahead of the curve for once. (Hardly but I live in hope)

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 22/09/2017 13:30

A square toe is always an indicator of mum boot. They never look good

WeatherDependent · 22/09/2017 13:31

No, but then I did like the M&S tapestry ones so maybe I'm not the best person to ask Wink

I personally think they look boring but if you like them buy them!

HLBug · 22/09/2017 13:32

New Look have a similar but less "mum boot" options for between £20 - £40 at the moment.

Laladog · 22/09/2017 13:32

I agree with 27Harper. They're nice, but not worth £160 to be honest. You can get a very similar pair in New Look for about £40-50.

Lots of teens wear shoes like this on the regular, so I don't see how they're mum boots lol. They're very versatile and will go with a lot of outfits, both casual and formal x

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 13:33

I saw the toes and initially thought wtf. But then had an indepth (quick scout) on t'internet and it would seem maybe they are no longer mumboot. They are around.Wink

Shall I show you osme others I've seen and earmarked? My sensibilities are able I think. I'm over the hurt.

Apachepony · 22/09/2017 13:36

Mum jeans are back in so mum boots probably are too. For my teenage dsd, it is skinnies that are passé and yet they are recommended on here all the time!

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 13:48

Topshop ones are nice but miles and miles too high for me.
Thanks for all the votes, I am breathing easier

Quite like these but a bit dated probably. Not mad about the heel

Topshop ones

OP posts:
Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 13:52

&other stories have a few nice ones.

What about a sock boot? Last year I thought them hideous. This year not so much.

OP posts:
imjessie · 22/09/2017 13:58

Nope , they are dull

LemonBreeland · 22/09/2017 14:01

The sock boots are the nicest ones of all the ones you've posted. Don't like cut out ones and the others are mum boots.

PollyPerky · 22/09/2017 15:01

Nope. Square toes, block heels, boring.
I'd not wear them and I'm late 50s.

PNGirl · 22/09/2017 19:30

They're very on-trend! It's all in how you style them though. Worn with bootcut jeans, no, but with black skinnies and a drapey top like an AllSaints model, yes.

You can probably get some more reasonable ones from Dune or somewhere though.

CakeNinja · 22/09/2017 19:36

Sorry, to me they are the very definition of mum boots Blush - low clunky heel, square toe.

princessbear80 · 22/09/2017 19:53

I've just seen fashion blogger @teecutter post a very similar H&M pair on Instagram. I like them!

RaininSummer · 22/09/2017 19:53

Just look like ordinary work type boots but I wouldn't spend that much on them.

Ididnthearanything · 22/09/2017 20:02

I was planning to wear with midi skirts and dresses, cropped kick flare trousers, skinnies.

Hmm seems we're divided. I must look up teeclutter.

I don't like kittens heels, or very pointy toe shoes, which seem to be all over the place ATM

BarbaraOcumbungles · 22/09/2017 20:05

They look really weird and long to me. And they are the epitome of Mum Boot.

£160 too Shock. You’ll be able to get an almost identical pair in any supermarket for £25.
