Facial oil

I just discovered that dehydrated skin is different from dry skin. 😊

I've been using a wee free sample bottle (overnight) from Clarins and the difference immediately, especially on the skin above my top lip is amazing. Would bio-oil do the same job or does it have to be specifically facial oil, anyone know?

bio oil is pretty crap really, doesn't have anything with much benefit in it
Depends what your budget is! I like the REN omega 3 serum oil

MozzchopsThirty · 12/09/2017 19:00

Neal's yard rose facial oil is lovely

I've used it for years, it's my one beauty product that I can't go without

MozzchopsThirty · 12/09/2017 19:01

Bio oil is hideous on your face

Whatislife123 · 12/09/2017 19:01

Maracuja oil by Tarte cosmetics. Fantastic

Ollivander84 · 12/09/2017 19:02

I don't know which clarins one you had but this site is reliable and they have the clarins one for dry skin and one for oily and a bit cheaper at £27

I bought some Trilogy Rosehip oil. It was the least effective product I've ever bought, I think olive oil would probably have been better Grin

Simple almond oil at night works very well on my dry skin.

Ollivander84 · 12/09/2017 19:05

Bargain - £40 at least off RRP when I checked on google

Look up the ordinary

Bejazzled · 12/09/2017 19:34

Ok, so bio oil is a no no 🙂
The Clarins sample I have is called Blue Orchid treatment oil.
Thanks for the other suggestions and links - I'll go and have a look now.

Pure grapeseed oil
From holland and Barrett, tisserand
Neat at night and mixed with SPF or moisturiser in the morning
Skin like a baby!

BusterGonad · 12/09/2017 20:06

M&S, I bought it for £5 in an outlet but I think it was only about £15 to begin with!

I use the Body shop facial oil, it is lovely.

www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/face/moisturisers/oils-of-life-intensely-revitalising-facial-oil/p/p000513

It's a little bit pricey, but worth it as it last for ages.

Whatshouldmyusernamebe · 12/09/2017 20:14

Mayhew any particular almond oil?

Lanaa · 12/09/2017 20:15

The Boots Botanics one is great and not expensive.

zippyswife · 12/09/2017 20:19

I use a cheapy massive bottle of almond oil which has massively transformed my dehydrated sensitive Rosacea prone skin. I think it was called ktc almond oil from tescos about £2 for a massive bottle.

OCSockOrphanage · 12/09/2017 20:21

I've used and liked the Clarins Blue Orchid oil during a frenzied stage and it worked well. More recently I have loved Marula Oil for all the same reasons but it was a random cheapie from TK Maxx so no supplier recommendation.

Lucylanz · 12/09/2017 20:24

I have the full size blue orchid facial oil which is for oily but dry skin. It's lovely and I've still got a third of a bottle left after 2 years. Costly but lasts a long time when you only need a drop or two a day

SindyFishtail · 12/09/2017 20:26

The Nuxe huile prodigeuse is beautiful- can use it all over. Smells and feels very luxurious and what's more important I saw great results very quickly. And it lasts for ages!

Maudlinmaud · 12/09/2017 20:29

I use clarin's blue orchid oil every couple of nights and have done for years, it's like a ritual, the smell to me is amazing but I know some can't stand it. I do also have boots botanics triple age renewal oil, think it has orchid in it too. It's a pretty good dupe and a fraction of the price.

MulhuddartDrive · 12/09/2017 20:34

I live balance me's radiance oil.
