I rather like these, they're less chunky than the second pair you posted and they're a lovely colour.

I think I just cracked a rib at "it rubs the lotion on its skin" Grin

Your legs are lovely OP. Resist the fugly shoes. I might be missing something but if you need waterproof and suitable for the office, could you get something for the travel to work (trainers or wellies with a comfy insole) and then change into non fugly shoes at the office?

Feel free to ignore me. I am currently wearing a frilled cooking apron over a floor length Lacey nightdress (also frilled) and thermal socks, so I shouldn't really be dispensing fashion advice Grin

OP people wear blue jeans with black footwear all the time. I've no idea why people are aghast at it on this thread 😂

If the second pair of boots are comfy then stick with them. They look absolutely fine 👍

Chimchar · 15/08/2017 10:43

Second pair look grand, and yes! A cracking pair of pins on you! SmileFlowers

HareTodayDragonTomorrow · 15/08/2017 11:21

Blush Unfortunately the top of the cracking pair of pins no longer fits into any of my trousers bar a dark blue pair of jeans. That skirt is far too formal for the office and a little bit too tight so I'm going to look for a pair of black jeans this afternoon (in esprit as it's the closest shop)

The consensus then is that I should go for slim fit rather than straight leg or bootcut?

I think I'm going to stick with the boots as they fit most of my criteria.

Stupid question: does that mean trousers should tuck inside boots?

You have described my feet and dress code. I wear www.footway.co.uk/shoes/women/blundstone/8?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_qrStYrZ1QIVSpPtCh3ngATOEAAYBCAAEgIa8vD_BwE Blundstone boots with practically everything.

I'm an 8 in Clark's and a 9/43 everywhere else. I wear a 7.5 in Blundstone. The half size means "wide", same length as the full size of the same number.

Girty999 · 15/08/2017 12:06

For a full day in your feel while wearing trousers they are fine, they aren't going to win any prizes but if you need comfort for work I'd rather wear those than wreck my feet x

Have a look on Yours Clothing...they go up to a 10
