Recommend a tinted moisturiser?

Have been using Laura Mercier for the last few years and I do like it but wondered if there's anything else out there I should try?

I can't get on with normal foundations they just break my skin out with little red lumps. So I guess they are too formulated.

I've tried the Botanics BB cream in the past (think it's discontinued now) and it was ok but the colour wasnt right.

Lily Lolo and Bare Minerals make me itch and are too drying for my skin age (41)

Didn't like the boots No 7 BB cream or the tinted moisturiser, or any of their foundations in fact.

Have tried a Nars sample but I can't remember what it was like which suggests I didn't rate it enough to buy it.

Nars has more coverage than LM and texture is thicker
I was going to suggest the BM complexion rescue but you said it makes you itch
What is your skin shade and type?
Also budget?

delilahbucket · 18/07/2017 19:48

I was hunting for something like you describe recently. I wanted a Dermalogica one but it's very pricey. In the end I got La Roche Posay BB Blur cream and I really like it. It feels very light on my skin and doesn't cause the breakout I get from foundation.

Paddingtonthebear · 18/07/2017 20:58

I'm a nude in the Laura Mercier.
Quite olive skinned, quite dry but prone to make up induced under skin breakouts. Had a terrible reaction to MAC foundation in the past.

Flexible on budget. LM is £35 so would be happy if I found something I liked for less than that!

Thinking about Nars again, Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser, and Liz Earle? Any others?

Is the La Roche Posay BB Blur aimed at oily skin? Not sure that would be right for me

I liked the Laura Mercier one too but it is more expensive than others. I now have Mac lightening tinted moisturizer in a white tube with silver stripes. It's good- lasts all day and doesn't show up my pores. Also I found that the Laura Mercier one squirted out of the tube onto the floor all too readily as I neared the end of the tube. I think the hole is too big! So ended up wasting a lot of product.

NARS tinted moisturiser is brilliant. I have very sensitive skin and swear by this item.

onlyconnect · 18/07/2017 21:30

I love the Bobbi Brown one. It's one of the few things I rebuy. It's very think with a dewy finish.

growinglavender · 18/07/2017 21:31

Bare minerals do a gorgeous one. My shade is vanilla but they will colour match you.

ArsenicNLace · 18/07/2017 21:34

Nivea tinted moisturizer. Not expensive. Have tried loads of others much note expensive and have always come back to it. Good coverage and not too oily or greasy or drying.

buckeejit · 18/07/2017 21:34

My faves are Eve Lom TM & seventeen bb cream

Jaimx86 · 18/07/2017 21:35

The Erborian CC is excellent; worth every penny. It significantly improves the appearance of your skin without looking like you have make up on. www.spacenk.com/uk/en_GB/makeup/complexion/bb-cc-cream/cc-crème-MUK200011071.html

The NARS and la Roche posay ones are lovely

millifiori · 18/07/2017 21:38

Nivea tinted moisturiser. It's quite versatile. Put it on thinly for bare coverage and thicker if you want the flawless look of full foundation. Not drying, quite dewy but not greasy. My only issue is that the colour range is a bit limited and none of it matches my skin tone so I have to go paler or darker.

Marv1nGay3 · 18/07/2017 21:42

I love tinted moisturiser and usually have several on the go!
My favourite is Chantecaille 'Just Skin' but it's a bit £££!
The Liz Earle one is quite nice, also Jouer matte moisture tint sunscreen.

imablackstarnotapopstar · 18/07/2017 21:46

I adore the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint SPF15. It's really dewey and moist - I'm 49 and it doesn't sink in to lines or go cakey

ggirl · 18/07/2017 21:51

My favourite is Chanel CC cream , I have redness and open pores and it looks really natural and doesn't sit in pores or fine lines.
I use a minuscule amount which helps cos it's bloody expensive.
Is also SPF50 .

My current favourite is the Chantecaille one but as a pp said it is ££££. I've used the Liz Earle one before and really liked it, but it is very dewy and I need a tint bit more coverage.

Maremaremare · 18/07/2017 22:39

I also have Chantecaille - I think they recommended it to me in Space NK

Paddingtonthebear · 18/07/2017 22:48

Just looked, Chantecaille is too £££

Liz Earle or Clarins.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 18/07/2017 22:51

I use Clinique BB. It's nice for dry skin and very light. I don't like foundation either, really. The Clinique CC is quite nice too but I found it too slippery on my face.

JW13 · 18/07/2017 23:02

Second vote for Erborian. Recommended to me by a make up artist. Really light consistency but somehow evens out my skin. It's a similar price to LM and the tube lasts for ages. Mines been going for 6 months of pretty consistent use.

minipie · 18/07/2017 23:09

Nivea BB cream. I tried several pricier options and they were either too orange, too oily or made me break out. I love the Nivea one and it costs peanuts!

A few years ago I had the Dermalogica one, it was nice but iirc it tended to separate over time so had to keep mixing it back together...annoying

MajesticWhine · 18/07/2017 23:22

Body shop vitamin e tinted moisturiser has always been my favourite, just because the colour is perfect for me. But as I tried to link I see it seems to have been discontinued. Sad

MrsNai · 18/07/2017 23:24

Nivea tinted moisturiser is brilliant
