Tho thinking about it, there is still some boinging going on with them if I run (which I do as little as possible of). I've also got an unwired Shock Absorber one which is good (blue/grey, John Lewis sell them). But for the full no-boing Monty, you might need more infrastructure.....

MsMartini · 22/07/2017 14:33

But generally I haven't found proper sports bras for women of consequence/substance greatly reduced Grin, just the whippersnapper ones - let me know if you do.

IDismyname · 22/07/2017 16:51

I think getting proper sports bras are a good investment. Bit like good trainers. The rest of the stuff I wear tto my dance class is very 'eclectic'.

I wear ShockAbsorber bras - usually from Bravissimo. Panache (I think) do underwired version but never got on with them.

IDismyname · 22/07/2017 16:55

Try Belle Lingerie. They have reduced ShockAbsorbers, but may depend on what size you are. On iPad, and have yet to work out linkies...

herbaceous · 22/07/2017 18:08

Top advice mes crepes. Debenhams has a number of reduced Shock Absorbers and similar, and I shall check out Belle Lingerie and Bravissimo.

I've got an underwired one which probably does reduce bounce the most but it is a monster of a thing and hot. I prefer the flatten 'em style which are fine for what I do.

herbaceous · 22/07/2017 19:24

I may have to go and feel some. I don't want a great big hot thing strapped around me. Though last year resorted to wearing two cheap sports bras, which probably had much the same effect.

This is the sort I like best. Undoing my bra can be a step too far after a class!

motherinferior · 23/07/2017 09:45

I have worn a boob-flattening Shock Absorber for some years now. Worth the original investment.

NoCureForLove · 23/07/2017 10:04

Agree re flattening being the way to go....

Am still in bed with the Archers #lazycow. Dh out playing tennis. Hoping he might make a cup of tea when he comes back. #verylazycow

NoCureForLove · 23/07/2017 10:05

Any good suggestions for holiday reading?

Rosenspants · 23/07/2017 10:34

Why ever not, Love it's Sunday after all. That Atwood novel I out on the WA is brilliant, if you like terrifying dystopian visions....

Rosenspants · 23/07/2017 10:35

I have a sports bra from bravissimo, I think. It is unworn Blush

herbaceous · 23/07/2017 10:40

Ooh, they look nice and easy to peel off. I have an over-the-head one from TK Maxx and it saps my remaining strength trying to get it off.

What sort of holiday reading are you after? I read Possession this summer - but I'm probably the last person on the planet to do so given how long ago it was written. Of more recently published I can recommend Golden Hill (discussed in earlier threads I think), Days Without End (Sebastian Barry), and East West Street (Philippe Sands) as books I have recently read and enjoyed.

hattymattie · 23/07/2017 11:18

I just read Conclave - Robert Harris - grabbed in a station - thoroughly addictive - I didn't expect to enjoy a book about the election of a pope so much. I like Robert Harris as I really enjoyed his Cicero trilogy.

hattymattie · 23/07/2017 13:12

NoCure - I love radio 4 on Sunday morning.

Cremolafoam · 23/07/2017 14:01

Me too with R4 on Sundays. I lay in bed til 10am then got up and put a wash on, drank a pot of coffee and have done a 30m Pilates class which makes me feel taller and bouncier.

I bought a boxing bra which holds it all down but hate theover head type for reasons outlined by MsM ( have had to sleep in a sports bra before as no strength left to get the thing off. With floor based exercise, you just don't want your norks squashing against your mouth.
Have eaten a pile of nectarine and strawberry salad and am forging a nut roast for dinner
Dh has fallen asleep on the sofa. He coughed all night poor soul. Man flu 😷

Cremolafoam · 23/07/2017 14:02

Apologies for random typos. I have fake nails on and typing is difficult.

bigTillyMint · 23/07/2017 14:31

DD wears a sports bra all the time - she says its more comfy And comfort is close to her heart Grin

msmargarita · 23/07/2017 16:02

BTM - I read that at first as DH and did a double take - your DH has never sounded the type ...

Crem - thank you so much for your Santiago and Vigo recommendations - we had such a wonderful time, even despite variable weather. And I feel certain that if I'd been able to find your Porto suggestions it would have massively improved our lunch experience.

Anyone been to Fornells, Menorca?

bigTillyMint · 23/07/2017 17:29

MrsMarg Grin He hasn't even got moobs - DD didn't get hers from either of us Grin

Cremolafoam · 23/07/2017 18:16

Ladies, I know some of us are abroad, but any recommendations for a good summer rad. I like crime , of course, but looking for something unusual or must read. Haven't been in a book shop for a long time, so not much of a clue what's new. Have recently read some Helen Dunmore, the Essex Serpent one and love books like All the light you cannot see, as well as the stories of Peter May and thrillers of Jo Nesbø. Please tell me about something you've loved. I don't do light and frothy, but not adverse to a bodice or bustle. ( eg DE Meredith or Andrew Taylor)
ThanksFlowersFlowersGinFlowers

Cremolafoam · 23/07/2017 18:17

Read, not rad fffs

MsMartini · 23/07/2017 18:51

I'm reading All the light you cannot see at the moment, Crem! Have you read Alan Furst? I wouldn't say I loved them but there are loads of them and they are quite gripping and also interesting if you travel in Europe I think, as very atmospheric. Sarah Dunant's crime novels are a bit dated now but quite good. Ian Pears? Sarah Caudwell - light, quirky, funny? None of these are new.
