How the hell do you shave your fanjo?!

Sorry to be so graphic but how on earth do people shave their privates?

Im 32 yrs old, have tried several times, but my pubes are so thick that it itches like crazy/bleeds gets so irratated and at times has been so uncomfortable I've not been able to go out.

Is there a knack I'm missing Confused? I've waxed a few times but mostly stick to using electric razors and shaving it really short. It's just way too thick

Sorry for tmi just curious as it's not something you really discuss amongst friends over lunch Grin

Always amazed by women who meet guys who don't like pubes and, instead of immediately dumping them, choose to remove their hair instead.

Where do you meet these little boys?

elQuintoConyo · 11/06/2017 23:04

I have a lazer kit at home (not Lumea but another brand, can't think of the name). I do sides, top and undercarriage - basically anything that'll catch small fish while I'm swimming in the sea.

Oh and legs.

I have v pale skin and thick black hair like half a panda Grin although strangely only about 3 armpit hairs.

I can't shave - red and itchy, ingrown hairs. Same with waxing. They're evil.

ohforfoxsake · 11/06/2017 23:11

Try shaving with hair conditioner - works much better than soap.

MissesBloom · 11/06/2017 23:15

Seoul yes exactly... And it's always those guys that have a healthy bush of their own, and don't like oral but happy to receive Confused wankers really!

elQuinto is it painful to use? I heard it feels a little bit like an elastic band snapping on your skin if you get it done at the salon? They sound amazing. I have the panda hair too but unfortunately it is not just the pubes... Mine is legs underarms fanjo and probably in my bum (which I will not be attempting to remove!)

Never touched mine and have never had any complaints but then I've only ever been with proper men

MissesBloom · 11/06/2017 23:21

@ohforfoxsake have tried that, it's not so much the razor that irritates me it's the re growth which is literally the next bloody day.

I shave every morning in the shower and have done for years.

Not for men but for me I feel a lot cleaner, I hate that feeling of discharge or blood sticking to pubes.

verystressedmum · 11/06/2017 23:35

I get terrible itch and rash after shaving after any type of hair removal, not straight after but the next day or a few days after when it starts to grow back.
My hair is coarse and dark and I'm really hairy so I really need to do removal!
I still shave my legs with a razor even though it's hell when it grows back but I've taken to doing my pubes with a hair clipper as I can't put myself through it.
Luckily dh doesn't care if I've shaved or not because I leave it as long as possible!

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 11/06/2017 23:40

I use hair removal cream every so often. Nair,I thnk. Shaving leaves me far too itchy. Waxing is too embarrassing, did it once or twice but hated it.

witwootoodleoo · 11/06/2017 23:43

I had a course of IPL treatments on mine. Hasn't got rid completely but thinned it out massively. Now I just use a trimmer once every few weeks and it's great. Enough hair to not look plucked but no full on bush :)

MissesBloom · 11/06/2017 23:49

Sweetkitty it's exactly that for me. I have heavy periods amongst other things and it makes me feel very grubby and conscious if I've got a little front ponytail Blush

Liking the sound of the ipl just need to start saving me pennies I suppose.

Such a faff shaving even with the electric razor as I'm not exactly skinny and struggle to see what's going on down there!

I wax, but not as often as I should, as a result the growth is still at the original Kell.

My experience is that normal waxing without gloves, Hollywood with gloves. Never gone on all 4's for the back, just lifted leg

duckwalk · 11/06/2017 23:56

Front pony tail Grin

robinia · 11/06/2017 23:56

Shave in the shower, definitely every day or at the very least every other day, otherwise yes, it does get itchy.
I use whatever's to hand - shower gel, shampoo, conditioner but make sure to rinse well afterwards. I don't shave the whole thing though. Trim it all with an electric shaver on no.2 setting and wet shave all the edges and bum.

IrritatedUser1960 · 11/06/2017 23:57

Mine are fine to shave as they are super fine and blond. If I had thick pubes I would not shave, I'd just have a bikini wax and trim them very short with scissors.

SerfTerf · 12/06/2017 00:01

The idea of IPL on the undercarriage has made me knot my legs together! Shock

Have you ever used IPL elsewhere? It is a sharp sensation accompanied by a burning smell.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 12/06/2017 00:03

I have also wondered this. I think I don't have the same sort of pubes as other women. Mine are like hogweed. Also, not confined to a wee triangle deftly dealt with a couple of swipes of a razor. I'd have to saw.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 12/06/2017 00:04

c'mon, you get ingrown hairs and boils on your flaps if you take it all off, don't you? Surely?

BillyDaveysDaughter · 12/06/2017 00:08

My skin is so easily irritated that even my electric trimmer leaves me with unsightly red bumps. Shaving = itchy rash. Wax at home = itchy rash. Close trim = itchy rash.

Hair removal cream - allergic, made my skin BLEED

Salon wax, as a special treat in the few days before my wedding - they ripped and bruised the skin in my groin, so I looked like I had burns on my wedding night. I also had a massive bruise on my arse cheek having fallen down the stairs, but that's another story.

I can't quite cope with a full bush, so I just keep the length down. I wasn't destined to enjoy straightforward hair removal.

MotherPie · 12/06/2017 00:08

I put a thin layer of sudocreme on. It stops me getting a rash and it doesn't itch.

kel1234 · 12/06/2017 00:16

Ive been shaving down there for years. It needs to be as short as possible first.

I only ever use Venus with okay razors. They are best when brand new. Simply pull taut and shave upward for the closest shave. I go over daily in the shower to make sure it stays smooth. No pain, no ingrown hairs, no redness.
I hate not being completely smooth down there.

BillyDaveysDaughter · 12/06/2017 00:17

Really Motherpie? That works?

So how do people use ordinary razors around the, erm, folded and creased areas? If I tried to run a razor across my bike rack I'm sure I'd cut myself. Imagine.

witwootoodleoo · 12/06/2017 00:33

IPL was cheap, found a special offer of £150 which includes 6 sessions.

Way less painful than waxing. I'm a right wuss and survived :)

MargotLovedTom1 · 12/06/2017 00:42

Why don't you just keep using the electric razor? Or get a set of clippers which come with guards, and give yourself a number one all over? No risk of nicks or cuts (I was also wondering how people manage to wet shave the undercarriage bit without taking off half a lip!).

avamiah · 12/06/2017 00:49

I have always shaved there and my legs and underarms in the bath or shower every 2 days.
