I have no shape, I just look like a big flowery barrel.

Sorry for the rubbish angle of pic.

Any suggestions as to what sort of frock would suit my shape.

Yes I will wear heels. Used to all the time. Usually a size 20.

Thank you Lettuce. Star

I like the dress but agree would be better if the other way round, patterned top and plain skirt. Any tips on how to wear trousers to a wedding? I hate dresses but have never found an outfit with trousers dressy enough.

QueenMortificado · 16/05/2017 20:53

Actually I think it's quite nice

Your make up needs work though

whifflesqueak · 16/05/2017 20:53

have you considered a facial skincare routine?

NoMoreBones · 16/05/2017 20:55

I thought the dress was fine but I LOVE the colour of your landing. Sorry off topic there.

Bobbybobbins · 16/05/2017 20:57

The top half looks great. Agree that a big print over the tummy is not flattering on a lot of people. A lower start to the skirt if you have a contrasting print might be more flattering? Or same colour or pattern all over?

MrsLettuce · 16/05/2017 21:06

this is rather lovely but not sure if it's something oyu'd feel comfortable in, I think it'd dress up nicely.
better?

MrsLettuce · 16/05/2017 21:14

[http://uk.monsoon.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/mon_26,/2410516110 the styling on this is awful]] but I suspect it's actually rather fab, either just the jacket or as a suit.

MrsLettuce · 16/05/2017 21:15

here, sorry. The styling on this is awful

Thanks all for the suggestions, have a lot to look at. I quite like a jump suit. Have been looking at them already. Is black ok for a wedding?

I think so. It depends on accessories

This is rather nice if you like flowery and have loadsamoney

Slightly reduced one here, much more flowery, but probably less adaptable for future use which it will have to be if you are spending that much

I'd look for a Phase Eight v neck wrap style dress, I'm a similar shape to you and I find this style really flattering.

Floaty Flowers Grin

MrsLettuce · 16/05/2017 21:58

Black is fine for most weddings, somber isn't.

GuntyMcGee · 16/05/2017 22:27

I think the cut of the dress is lovely on you, but the pattern is probably tricky to wear on any shape or size. The waistline just cuts you in half in the wrong place and the eye is drawn to the big pink splodge on the tummy area and the black void around it makes it look almost 3D.

A smaller floral pattern may be easier to wear?

NashvilleQueen · 16/05/2017 22:33

That trouser suit is somethjnt Theresa May would be in.

Have you tried Lindy bop? If you like the vintage style?

MaryLennoxsScowl · 16/05/2017 22:36

I love that jumpsuit! It's out of my budget but it looks amazing. And comfy.

NashvilleQueen · 16/05/2017 22:38

This would be a flattering cut and looks like it would hang nicely.

😂you may be right, Nashville.
