www.gerarddarel.com/fr_fr/robe-talisman-292455.html

I think this one works - I missed the last letter off the link.

wordassociationfootball · 03/05/2017 20:49

Can't work out how to link to YouTube on phone so instead of cool Japanese girls shrieking musically I give you this partially inflated flea. It's a piece of Johnsons marketing that was presumably designed, priduced and approved by possibly several people. Is it not the very nadir of human endeavour? I put this to DH who was with me when we saw it. He said I sounded like Stewart Lee which I took as an enormous compliment.

I think he might be feeling a tiny bit better as he's doing things with draft excluder and has Contacted Some Friends To Invite Them To Something. First time since forever.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 03/05/2017 21:00

Ta for the links Rose - it's like Rose: The Edit! Like the look of the one you describe as ? frumpy length in the blue / white stripes. Does anyone have the 'Casual Jersey Dress'?. Reviews please...

You are a larf Stropps - I'd definitely watch that documentary. Fingers v much crossed for dd.

Here exam boy is poorly - not a good start to exam season and he has first speaking one on Friday. Eeeek.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 03/05/2017 21:02

That flea is indeed truly shit WAF. Not sure it would be much improved fully inflated.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 03/05/2017 21:03

Am going to see Carousel at ENO tomorrow night with a friend #lowbrow.

Lalsy · 03/05/2017 21:05

Oooh anyone would think we were an S and B thread!

Hatty, I like the second one a lot and think that shape would really suit you. Which colour? Not so sure about the long one.

Rose, fab selection. I like several of them. When does boden start its sale do we think...I may hold off buying dress till dd has her results anyway. I really like the linen one but not the colours (on me).

Just looked at Seasalt site and like several of them.

I wish with dresses you could click on your size and see a picture of someone in that size. They could get customers to send them in in return for a discount or something.

Lalsy · 03/05/2017 21:07

Sorry, WAF, X-posted. Fingers crossed on the dh front. The flea looks vile and fully inflated to me.

And Stropps, many fingers crossed.

hattymattie · 03/05/2017 21:30

I quite fancy the red Lalsy ... or the blue. Agree about the models - they are always 5ft10 wearing a size small!

DS says the play has progressed from terrible to alright.

motherinferior · 03/05/2017 22:00

I would definitely be interested in the casual jersey, in the black or the patterned red.

I will report back on new jeans when they arrive. I like them in store.

Lalsy · 03/05/2017 22:06

Yeah, I like the blue Hatty...or the red Grin. I think you could carry off the drapey thing.

Also like jersey dress in stripes or navy (for me).

Cremolafoam · 03/05/2017 22:22

Hatty I really like the Red GD dress, and can see you rocking that.

Magi - pool not yet built!! Coming soon I hope.
Rose , all those frocks are gorgeous.
Waf hope dh ok. 'In flea table' vileGrin
Stropps great dress, totally 🌴 tropical.
Cloud, first one for me, but not the shrug. 👗
Boden catalogue is depressing me so have recycled and gone back to browsing Screwfix.

Stropperella · 03/05/2017 22:25

Ooh, I love a bit of Screwfix, Crem. Grin Would choose over Boden any day. :) I've just bought myself a nice new toolkit, which I shall keep in the house so that I can always find a screwdriver or some pliers when I need them, instead of having to ask dh to rummage in the chaotic piles of mess in the garage.

addle · 03/05/2017 22:50

Oh dear god, the flea. Looks like something you might see after a night of vodka, drizzle and regret. You have an eye, WAF, for def. (Good news about DH, fingers crossed.)

Grumpy for no good reason at this end - maybe too much partying at the w/e. Thinking of going to the Josef Franck at the design museum this w/e before it ends - looks lovely and colourful and soothing. Anyone been?

Crem, hope your eyes improving all the time.

Rose, hope you feeling better. Lovely to see the links to summer clothes

Lalsy · 03/05/2017 23:37

Crem and Stropps, I bought myself something like this a couple of years ago. I don't do much DIY but the joy of being able to find pliers when you need them.....

hattymattie · 04/05/2017 06:20

Love the quick turnaround from Boden to Screwfix - we are so S&B Smile

Dreamqueen · 04/05/2017 06:29

Laisy i have the same toolbox. It's great except for when things go missing from it & no one owns up.

Rose I like your dress selection especially the jersey blue & white one & the linen one that you say that next have similar. I'll wait for a bigger Bodencode before ordering.

IDismyname · 04/05/2017 07:42

I had a toolbox like that at art college! Great for storing set squares, propelling pencils and scalpels. Used to struggle on and off the train clutching it and a portfolio.

I have more problems with disappearing sellotape, marker pens, tippex and hole punch. All are now emblazoned with 'MUM' or 'KITCHEN'. Seems to have worked.

I had a beautiful interiors book delivered to me yesterday by Amazon. Absolutely no idea who has sent it to me. All those I've contacted have denied any involvement. Do you think Amazon can trace the order back?

motherinferior · 04/05/2017 08:21

I don't suppose any of you toolboxers fancy popping round to the Inferiority Complex and replacing the bathroom blind? I've just pulled the cord out of its twirly thing again. DP has done his nut as I expected - I was scared to tell him - and is going on again about how I always break it and claim nothing is my fault. I pointed out again I never do this with any other blinds (i.e. it might just be a problem with that blind) and he shouted some more.

This also pushes my buttons because my dad used to go on at length about how clumsy I was.

CointreauVersial · 04/05/2017 08:21

Cloud - a few months ago Amazon delivered to me a set of chopping boards, an egg whisk and an ice cream scoop. Clearly not a gift (well, I hope not!) and all family members denied knowledge. It turned out to be a complete brain-fart by Amazon; wasn't meant for me at all, even though it was addressed to me.

Nice toolbox, Lalsy. We have a tool cupboard in the utility room, stuffed with all sorts of crap. Usually a hammer or a shower of screws falls out whenever you open it.

I overcome the missing scissors/rulers/sellotape problem by buying multiple and scattering them around the house.

Some lovely dresses, Rose. I perused the Boden catalogue yesterday, and liked a couple of things, but I will wait for the sale. Too pricey. I'm quite well-equipped for summer, actually, and pretty much everything I looked at in the catalogue I thought "I've got one similar already but that doesn't stop me buying

BeachysSandyFlipflops · 04/05/2017 08:23

Yes, I'm sure they can, Cloud. What a lovely thought....hope your lunch was ok yesterday.

Love the linen could be cheaper at Next dress. It's just not sunny enough yet, but by the time it is, we'll be discussing boots again Grin

Yesterday's Lego sort resulted in a family building competition at 9pm in front of the telly!

magimedi · 04/05/2017 08:46

Am not so keen on the Boden stuff - either too fussy or too short.

Like the dress Hatty linked to but 235 euros is a bit steep!

Your (D)P's reaction is a bit OTT, MI. Accidents happen.

Am off to Brighton tomorrow to have a look for dresses. Trouble is, if I don't strike lucky fairly quickly I tend to give up. Am not a fan of shopping.

motherinferior · 04/05/2017 09:02

He took ages fixing that blind, to be fair (ha!) but there's something wrong with it. I've never damaged any of the other blinds in our house. He just says I dodge any responsibility for damaging stuff.

Blackduck · 04/05/2017 09:06

I tried on two sea salt dresses yesterday. Liked the linen one but felt 70 squid was a tad expensive but ultimately decided I am very fat and need to lose weight and tone up rather than buy a sack to cover the multitude of sins....
Stropps love yours but too lumpy bumpy to wear....

Cremolafoam · 04/05/2017 10:13

I also feel that way BD. In a complete funk about weight. And really shouldn't buy anything while I feel this way. Need to get a grip on self. Have been browsing linen sacks on Etsy however.

MI, srslsy.LTB

Like the toolboxes Stropps/Lalsy. Like Cloud, I have one from art college days with my own tools and knives and quality masking tape. Dh of course has every size of screwdriver, spanner, drill bit, wrench and saw known to humankind. But All are stored at a great height so am unable to reach Grin
If he does a job, it take an excruciating 20 Minutes for him to get the correct tool. Meanwhile I grab my Phillips and have it done. Drives him nutty.Grin
The blind in the bathroom was loose recently and so I glued it back into the wall with gorilla glue.works perfectly, but this has infuriated dh who would have researched the correct way of doing it on the net , taken 3-4 weeks to contemplate, and finally attended the job, complete with tool-belt.
I denied him this dubious pleasure.Grinbless.

Crem, I just read your post out to dh. He larfed heartily and said it sounded familiar. Grin
