I don't have loads of dosh and want something for a formal event. Thoughts on this please?

not keen on the colour. it would need a bright wrap or something to lift it I think, but if you like it then go for it. I'm more of a beaded dress gal myself.

Well, DD talked me into ordering in on the proviso that if it's hideous I'll send it back. I am a bit dull anyway, I don't really do glitz or bright colours so the dullness probably suits me.

I'll report back if it's a yay or a nay.

I think the original dress is very pretty and really like the smocked stitching on the back. Depending on your colouring, it could look beautiful on you - Nicole Kidman wears neutral cool colours, is pale skinned and they really suit her.

I think a lot of how it looks/hangs on you will depend on the quality of the dress.
