MI, it could be my DD saying thatGrin

MrsS, has your DM gone home with her care package?

Quiet day here (apart from the road resurfacing!)
I am hoping tomorrow full day at the hospital with DS moves things forward treatmentwise, as he's not so good again.

Collymollypuff · 04/04/2017 18:59

Sorry to hear that, BTM. Will think of you tomorrow. Things are up and down here, hence my frivolity over saddlery - gotta larf or you'll cry, innit.

Cremolafoam · 04/04/2017 19:04

Sorry to hear that BTM. Hope that changes tomorrow for you and ds of course.

MI, 'making chocolate chip cookies 🍪 ' Is that some kind of euphemism? Hope notWinkConfused

because without means pile of wellies, coats and mud, at the back door. is it just me thinking of a Jilly Cooper novel?
Mr Farrow and Mrs Ball would be appalled 😳

bigTillyMint · 04/04/2017 19:07

Yes Molly! Sympathies to you too.

magimedi · 04/04/2017 19:38

Hope tomorrow helps, BTM.

Agree with Mrs S re MI's DD1! Nekkid Grin

Very annoying day with trying to sort out various problems with the bank.

Basically they are utter fuckers & I would really just like to keep my (tiny) stash under the mattress.

Or (showing my age) go back to the day when you went into the bank & saw a real live person & got things sorted.

If I hear any more Vivaldi hold music I will not be answerable for my actions.

hattymattie · 04/04/2017 19:47

MI - wait till they're 20 - no shame at all my lot - sitting under the duvet starkers watching some film on the computer. I did knock and they merrily called me in!

BTM - fingers crossed as usual for poor DS and for you who's shouldering the stress.

Colly - my boot room imaginings are getting even more fantastic - Grinat Jilly Cooper Crem.

My cleaner structures herself! She is very thorough and changes the beds as well as cleaning everywhere Smile I could not imagine life without her weekly visits. Well I could. And it's not pretty. Pretty much saved my marriage I reckon!

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/04/2017 22:35

MI your story about DD1 reminds me of sitting on the sofa at home with some boy, and having a perfectly normal conversation with my mother while said boy had his hand in my pants (she couldn't see, it just looked like his arm was hanging down behind me) and was having a good old fiddle. Grin Growing up in the country, we were also big on al fresco sex. Still enjoy a bit of a breeze around the nethers.

My mother is now home with a bit of a care package in place. At least she has an alarm now, if she falls again.

Ok. Boot room list. Those of you Country Crepeys will probably have similar!

Outdoor Boots x 5 pairs
Shoes and slippersx 12 pairs
Picnic rucksack
Old rug
Dog blankets
Walking sticks
All house and car cleaning lotions and potions
All shoe cleaning stuff
Big sink to put dirty dogs in
All DSs riding gear inc helmets
A whole 'hedge' of olive green outer garments in need of wash
Wicker baskets containing dog treats, hats, gloves
My veg seed box and rotation plans for veg patch
Bread maker
Ice cream maker
Plastic picnic plates, cutlery, tumblers
Hoover bags
24 bottles of San Pellegrino bottles of water (damn you Costco)

Sadly no jodhpur wearing young man. Although I wouldn't say no...

IDismyname · 04/04/2017 23:17

Good news MrsS. Long may it last. Is your DM happy with the set up?

Collymollypuff · 04/04/2017 23:39

I knew it! It smells fab in there, doesn't it, Cloud? It'll smell even better when you get the jodhpur-wearing young man. Grin

motherinferior · 05/04/2017 06:59

I have the same cleaner as BTM and she gets on with it, blissfully.Smile

addle · 05/04/2017 07:08

Boot room sounds like bliss, Cloud

I've never had a cleaner. Also sounds like bliss

Mrs S - vvv glad something is set up. Hope you get more time to think about breeze around nether

BTM, thinking of you and DS today

Reasons to be cheerful -
beautiful morning and some lovely variegated tulips in garden.
Not even in shower yet
Winetasting after work tonight with work/pilates colleagues

IDismyname · 05/04/2017 07:19

You must all think it's some huge great room!

It's probably about 9' square, and packed to the gunnels.

I'm sure, however, I could squeeze in a jodhpur clad amour should any come my way.

Cremolafoam · 05/04/2017 07:28

I miss having a cleaner, I really do. But I'd like someone who didn't just push dust from A-B Hmm
Glad to hear Granny S, is somewhat sorted.
BTM best of luck today.
MM, damn the computerised telephone answering machine. Hope you got through , finally.
Yay to tulips. Although I seem to have only planted greens white jobs, which look really boring.Hmm

My cleaner is on holiday this week and I miss her. That, plus the fact that all the dds are home means my house has turned into a mess - the cats are moulting everywhere but no one in my house seems to have heard of the concept of hoovering. I suppose I could do it but I'm out at work all day and it's not me that lets the cats out of the kitchen to the carpeted rooms.

Re boot rooms - if the definition is based on where boots and shoes are 'stored' then that would be my hall - I am always amazed by how much footwear the dds possess, and its apparent ability to breed every 24 hours.

In less grumpy news, we are all off to the theatre tonight to see Don Juan - v popular booking with the dds as the lead is Mr D. Tennent who seems to be a firm family favourite.

Blackduck · 05/04/2017 08:01

BTM hope today goes well.
Sorry all finding it hard to keep up....
I have a boot hall and 'dog scratch mouse ear' paint on my dining room wall....

Auriga Flowers

motherinferior · 05/04/2017 08:07

Don Juan with DT

I have been for a run in the sun. Come back to swirling washing I will obviously need to take and hang out, my Least Favourite Thing. BUT the sun was lovely, I have a thriller to edit (sweated labour but quite fun) and it is clearly my frugal duty to eat hot cross buns that will otherwise go stale, for breakfast. (Also I managed to forget the oil in the last loaf of bread I made so it is bullet-like. Though better than when I forget yeast.)

Our boot room is mosy definitely our hall. DH surprisingly is one of the main culprits. He just steps out of them and leaves them 'in situ'. No lining up shoes neatly in this house.

How was Mr T Mrs W? I saw lots of posters for that in London. Sounds fascinating.

BTM - thinking of you today and also hoping for a good medication transition for Rudy's DS.

hattymattie · 05/04/2017 08:28

Auriga - how are you doing?

bigTillyMint · 05/04/2017 08:28

Rudy, glad your boy is looking well Smile

A boot room? That's a studio apartment in our area Grin
