So glad Hockney is good. Am off there next Monday.

Auriga Hope you find that a chance to chill out in Paris gives you a bit of a break. Sorry to hear you're still not well.

Washing line finally collapsed last week. Been meaning to get a new one for 3 years, but know I'd have to go through putting in a new concrete base and CBA. Anyway, a pair of jeans and 2 hoodies did the trick.

Meanwhile, my indoor airer has had to take the place. I tell you, it adds a certain 'Je ne sais quoi' to the front garden.

wordassociationfootball · 04/04/2017 07:15

I do a lot of those snake ouks already Crem, but not nuacinimide which I see is good for texture. I'm in. Or just coat the visog with three goes if peignoir?

Herbs I can rec some H&M strides for work/biking. £24.99. Grey. Ankle length and tapered. In the suity section. They have a v unnatractive band of elastic round the top. Did and I both got some. Didn't get on the cigarette pants from Top Shop.

Auriga, how very rotten indeed to be so unwell. I will be thinking of you.

Oops better go to Heathrow Crepies!!!!!

Montypulciano · 04/04/2017 07:19

Have a lovely trip, WAF.

Auriga, sorry you are still feeling under the weather. Hope Paris will let you have some r and r.

DD1 is 12 today. She is very excited. Dh is taking them out to natural history museum then out for lunch. I am on my way to work. Someone has thoughtfully given me a clas to cover as well as my own today, so just the 5h teaching. Hm. And I've got a cold. Grrr.

hattymattie · 04/04/2017 08:21

Somebody just shared a post on my FB about how lovely they'd found the Londoners recently, inspite of the attack. I must say I agree with this sentiment. People were willing to catch your eye and smile. I found it such a friendly place on my visit.

Off to Galaries Lafayette shopping with DD2 at some point today. Then dentist for sore tooth which has remarkably got better on its own. I'm going to get told off for taking an emergency appointment.

motherinferior · 04/04/2017 08:21

I didn't Ladyjog today. Ahem. Or yesterday. Adoublehem. Now going to hit desk and then go to a meeting a looong way across London. Am wearing a vvv useful charity shop buy - White Company black stretchy frock picked up for a tenner after an interview for a lecturing gig. Didn't get the gig but the frock is the sort of thing you can wear anywhere. Smile

WAF, enjoy!

Dearest Waf, have a great old NY time. Hope you get nice weather and that dd enjoys. oh to have been brought to NYC at that age! What larks.! Yes to niacinamides. (vitamin B3) I am currently obsessed.Grin

Beautiful day here. I am bringing the car for a service today and afterwards will have a run around TKMaxx . I need jeans that fit around flabby middle. No idea what shape would be good , so envisage trying on a lot. Length is always an issue as well, with me being short of arse.

MI , any further movement with the car? Is it going or staying?Smile

Happy Birthday to dd1 Monty. Cake Hope she has a great day.

Cremolafoam · 04/04/2017 08:37

waves @Rudymentary Smile

Rosebag · 04/04/2017 08:47

Are you coming my way MI?

Safe and happy trip WAF. You deserve a lovely time...I do love NYC.

Auriga that sounds grim....is there any way you can get a proper diagnosis? I'm so sorry it ruined Matthew Passion for you but hope things improve a bit for Paris. Flowers

Monty you are working too hard! Is there an end in sight? And a rotten bloody cold to boot... Flowers Brew Happy Birthday to DD!

Crem I don't think you'll get them at TKMaxx but I do very well with Next jeans....am currently wearing the cigarette ones. I bloat out a lot as the day wears on, so unlike a lot of posters in S&B I like it if they stretch with wear, which they do. you can roll them up too This has inspired me to get another pair before they are discontinued.

motherinferior · 04/04/2017 08:53

Alas, am staying Sarf of river, Rose. Have quite a lot of work on at the moment too!

bigTillyMint · 04/04/2017 09:49

Rudy, I think that most definitely counts! Not so sure about the dead salmon paint thoughGrin

Auriga, so sorry you are still ill - hope they diagnose you properly soon.

WAF, have the best timeWine

Rose, I like those jeans. But they are all sold outSad

Monty Happy Birthday to DDCake

Here our road is being resurfaced. Would be Herbyboy's dream watching all the big vehicle action. I am just wondering how my Tesco delivery will get throughGrin

Rudy, it's the same here re breakfast and lunch - remember my wobbly about lunch a year or so ago, after which I said firmly THERE IS FOOD, DAMMIT. I feel vaguely I should feed the exam-taker on exam days and possibly lure her with breakfast at half-term to rouse herself into action. She has gone off - in a bum-skimming denim mini (with black opaques and trainers and a chunky hoodie) - to a revision session at school and apparently plans a visit to her Young Gentleman Friend later. DD2 is also out today hallelujah .

herbaceous · 04/04/2017 10:12

Peignoir and Dead Salmon are rather similar to that lovely bare plaster colour, which is always tempting to leave. Was observing just that in friend's new loft conversion yesterday. Made me yearn for our own loft conversion, which we don't really need...

Packed day of child entertaining yesterday, mainly impromptu. Picnic in Epping Forest, followed by cycle training (for him), followed by tea at his best chum's house (while I viewed loft). Today, Boss Baby at the cinema. Tomorrow, stick man trail and then trampolining. All go.

Talking of vitamins, I have run out of my 'wimmin over 50' multi-vits, and am getting the night sweats again, so they must be of some use.

Have a great time, WAF. A chum is off to NYC in July with their son, same age as DS. They were afeard of the jet lag, but have decided to just keep to roughly UK time, early bed, early up, and all will be well.

hattymattie · 04/04/2017 13:40

I like Elephant's Breath Rudy, sort of warm pinky beige. Haven't tried Dead Salmon but all their colours seem to work.

Back from successful shopping trip with DD2. Cos had some promos so she's got a jumper and a top. She actually suits their clothes whereas for me and DD1 it's a bit hit and miss.

Lalsy · 04/04/2017 14:51

Auriga, so so sorry to hear that you are still unwell and lacking diagnosis. I really hope you can enjoy the break anyway and crossing everything that you feel better or at least get some answers very soon.

Crem, I get right stroppy about jeans. Why do they have to change the shape every sodding year? My bottom stays in roughly the same place. Men don't have this - dh can just say one number and will be handed something that will sit on his waist and reach his shoes. Pah. Having said that, Uniqlo high waisted have been good for me tho last time I went in they seemed to only have ankle skimmers which are hopeless on me as they make my legs look even shorter. Pah again.

WAF, hope you having splendid time (or will be soon).

Cremolafoam · 04/04/2017 16:02

Agree Lalsy. Have given up entirely. Too hot in changing room and have been distracted by linen garments the like of which i have no requirement. Have spent £50 in tkmaxx on I dont know whats.gah! Indeed

IDismyname · 04/04/2017 17:09

I have a hot kitchen and a hot boot room - Elephants Breath and Moles Breath respectively.

I loved Montys F&B paint chart - especially the one called 'No, Barry, No'

All's quiet in Cloud House. Everyone in one piece. No shouting.

Phew

Collymollypuff · 04/04/2017 17:14

A hot boot room! So evocative!

Grin

What do you get up to in there, Cloud? Blush

hattymattie · 04/04/2017 17:47

A room ... just for boots?

motherinferior · 04/04/2017 18:00

I slightly wish some of our rowdier neighbours hadn't woken me up in the small hours shouting.Angry

I also slightly wish I hadn't waltzed into DD1's room - I did knock and all - to find her and the YGF fully clothed (apparently) but cosily snuggled under her duvet.Confusedthey were quite amiable and ostensibly watching YouTube (yeah right).

Collymollypuff · 04/04/2017 18:15

No, Hatty, boots, and saddles, and bridles, and saddle soap, and dog leads, and old coats, and all sorts of wonderful things, I bet.

I make dh keep his leather chaps and riding boots in the outhouse Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/04/2017 18:36

Their top halves were clothed, MI. But from the waist down they were both Nekkid. Grin

motherinferior · 04/04/2017 18:41

Thank you, MrsSConfused

They have made choc chip cookies, anyway. DD2 has still not returned from (presumably) her friend's house. YGF is demonstrating the Bloke Attitude to revision - "yeah, I ought to do some, I suppose, but I want to go out tonight" that opens my eyes to what it is like to have that sort of Bloke Son.
