I've been trying to grow my hair but yesterday got fed up and had about 2 inches cut off and more layering. I always end up regretting it.
What do you think? Honest opinions of which looks better (please excuse face obscuring, but hopefully you can get the general idea of face shape/ hair type etc etc).

The longer version is my choice.

DaisyBlameless · 28/03/2017 12:16

The longer one.

TearGas · 28/03/2017 12:16

Thanks user.
Oh crap...why do I always do this. I'm now going to have to endure another 2 months (at least) looking like Nicola Sturgeon aren't I? :(

By the way, can I ask if age makes any difference, does the longer one look younger? (Am 46.)

Not at all! Your hair is a lovely colour and a nice texture. Funk it up a bit with clasps and stuff while you are growing it!

user1489179512 · 28/03/2017 12:19

The long one does look younger!

squoosh · 28/03/2017 12:21

The longer style is nicer, very Zoe Ball. You'll have it back in no time!

BaliBound · 28/03/2017 12:24

I prefer the longer style, and it looks younger.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/03/2017 12:25

I much prefer the shorter style on you Op Smile

TearGas · 28/03/2017 12:29

Bless you Enrique :)

I like the shorter too!

DavetheCat2001 · 28/03/2017 12:36

I think both are nice OP, but the longer one gets my vote.

pnutter · 28/03/2017 12:38

I like the shorter (well i like both) but the shorter looks younger to me

Greenvalleymama · 28/03/2017 12:39

You have lovely hair! I prefer the first one I think (sorry!)

isupposeitsverynice · 28/03/2017 12:41

I prefer the shorter pic. It's just hair, it'll grow Smile

floraeasy · 28/03/2017 12:41

I prefer the longer one, but the shorter one is pretty nice too. Definitely NOT anything like Sturgeon!

In fact, I'd take either of your photos over my hair right now!

floraeasy · 28/03/2017 12:42

The good news is apparently our hair grows faster in the warmer months, so you should have no problem getting it longer over the summer.

TearGas · 28/03/2017 12:43

It looks a bit less Sturgeon like today I think, (not that I have anything against Nicola, but not a fan of her hair).

I think I have a psychological problem in that whenever I feel down I think 'I know, I'll get my hair cut!'. It's rarely the answer.

Also...why is it that (without a single exception IME) hair ALWAYS looks great the day you go to get it cut?! (even if it had been looking shite up to that point..)

Your hair must feel in better condition after getting cut. Both hairstyles are lovely.
Although it's hard to tell your face shape under all your OTT foundation Wink I'd say you had a round face so the shorter length emphasises that.
I'm a fellow round face, the bonus being it makes you look younger, so silver lining there. Smile

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 12:49

Looking at the 2nd pic, you sure have beautiful hair. What the hell are you moaning about? Grin

TearGas · 28/03/2017 12:50

Hmm hadn't thought about face shape, here goes without the OTT foundation.

You're very pretty you can pull both off!

DessieSaysDiy · 28/03/2017 12:54

Shorter one looks fab!Smile

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 12:54

Looks better shorter, much better condition and shape. In the first pic, the ends look a teensy bit scraggly (sorry)
