My favourite discontinued perfumes

About to run out of my 2 favourite perfumes that I have been hoarding for decades,I've always kept them in the boxes in a cool dark cupboardso they still smell just like they used to.really gutted that I cant buy them anymore!

Perfume Parlour has dupes of a lot of discontinued perfumes so it could be worth a search there.

There is a lot of Coty Wild Musk on ebay. Some of it looks like modern packaging so it could have been relaunched.

Another one for D&G Sicily. In fact, I've just tweeted them about it. I know there's some on eBay but I would hate to spend so much money on a fake!

They could be fakes, but I've only been scammed once or twice (and I've bought a lot of perfume on there!) You can kind of tell after a while, I don't much trust people selling lots and lots of miniatures for example, those are the ones that are easily filled up with a bit of water etc.

Ebay are pretty hot on fakes as well- and also various perfume houses have them over a legal barrel- you can't, for example, buy Dior as "used" . I often have to ask the seller to move it to a different category or remove Dior from the title, as they (along with Chanel) don't want their perfumes selling on or decanting.

I'm still nostalgic for the 90s Monsoon perfume in the blue bottle.

Givenchy III is my most missed and loved. It is on eBah but often at mad prices.

And original Ô de Lancôme though Mary Greenwell Lemon is a nice lemon one.

I miss Very Valentino. There are a few on eBay for around £100!!!

Givenchy III is still in production but still fairly hard to come by. I'm not sure how far it's been reformulated though. I have a couple of bottles of vintage, and it's pretty much perfection in a bottle!

It was also one of my best ever ebay bargains, miniatures of III, Eau de Givenchy and Monsieur Givenchy for £4.99 for the lot. I almost felt guilty when I won the auction!

Charles of the Ritz. I still miss that.

Tendre Poison. Perfume Parlour do do a dupe which smells nice but it isn't quite right and is a very weak scent. It's a shame as all the others I've had from them (about 20) are cock-on.

It's not quite the same but it's close - I can't link as on the app but if you look for Perfume Oils UK on Amazon they do a "Gloria" perfume oil which is only about £3 and has the rose/almond notes - for the price it's not a bad substitute!

Now if someone can find me a replacement for my beloved Penhaligon's Lily and Spice....

Came back to say thanks for the tip of C&E La Source smelling like New West Olaf! I was In The Town today & there is a C&E shop there & I tried the La Source EDT & I think it smells very similar to New West!
Not as strong (not sure that would be possible!) & missing something - the melon &/or calone??? Still like it though. I have remembered another perfume I used to love - Illégale by Alyssa Ashley - wore it in the US in the late 80s.

I associate smells with memories and know they would take me right back!

Eau de Givenchy is my all time favourite.

I got some off ebay but it was really old and didn't smell quite right any more

I really wish they would reinstate it but reckon there is probably a banned substance in it!

I will try the perfume Parlour site to see if they do a copy.

Givenchy Fluer de Inderdit. I got a vintage bottle from eBay but sadly it had turned and doesn't smell fresh.

Anyone remember this?

Libertine by Vivienne Westwood. I have the teeniest bit left. There's a few for sale on US Ebay, but at least $100 plus shipping.

Armani Sensi was the best...although my then boyf claimed it smelled like superglue😣.
