I have had a terrible hair cut (with pics)

I asked for something similar to Jennifer Lawrence in the film Passengers 😳

My hair was long ish and quite damaged so thought I'd go for the chop and it looked ok till I washed it and looked closer. It's naturally wavy/curly and looks so uneven even if I've not straightened it. When I blow dried it straight it sticks out like a bloody mushroom. Once it's straight you can see how uneven it is. Basically it looks completely shit no matter what I do.

Wtf am I going to do?! It's also a bit shorter than I asked for so now I think I'm just going to end up with it far shorter than I wanted if it is repaired. I could actually cry. I've had a horrendous couple of weeks and really wanted to feel better about myself. AND I've got a night out planned for this weekend!!

Help please!

Oh I feel for you. JL's hair in that film is great but not THAT hard, surely?

What's it like if you let it dry curly?

It looks very fixable though; don't worry too much! I've definitely seen worse disasters on here!

Are you going to go back to complain?

PhDquestions · 05/03/2017 01:24

Put it in velcro rollers and/or use straighteners to curve/curl it inwards. I think it looks ok...

DionFortune · 05/03/2017 01:25

It's even worse curly Confused

What I mean by it looks ok is that, it looks like any layered haircut that hasn't been properly styled. If you've blowdried it straight then it's obviously going to look like that as a layered cut. If you properly style it to give it some shape then it'll look smashing.

It looks fab curly Confused

I think it looks better with a wave in it. Couldn't you finger dry it you use a diffuser?

DionFortune · 05/03/2017 01:32

The main problem is that the bottom is really uneven. Even trying to curl it under didn't help to disguise it, it's like there's chunks missing! Reassuring that it looks fixable though. It's a mobile hairdresser I have used quite a few times mainly just for a trim, did not expect it to look quite so bad. She did do a horrendous job with a colour one time though saying that.

No I'm not going to complain. Just going to be British and cry inwardly whilst telling her I like it, than never using her again...

I am booked in for a repair job for Tuesday. Hope to god they can help me. Confused

Thanks for saying it doesn't look too bad curly. I'm naturally lazy low maintenance so tend not to do much more than blow dry with a diffuser if I can help it. There are random long bits that stick out as well...

Definitely looks better curly.

It just need neatening up Flowers

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 05/03/2017 01:40

I think it looks cool either way!

SoleBizzz · 05/03/2017 01:42

I like it a lit.

BottomlyP0tts · 05/03/2017 01:44

I don't think it looks bad - but not what you were after! Keep it curly, get it slightly evened out and just let it be

HemanOrSheRa · 05/03/2017 01:47

It looks lovely wavy Smile. Really lovely. It looks to me like the layers haven't been cut properly. They just need blending in.

Oblomov17 · 05/03/2017 01:51

I like it too. Both ways. Better curly.

HemanOrSheRa · 05/03/2017 01:52

That shouldn't take any length off either. You've got lovely strong and healthy looking hair. It will be fine.

MrsRhettButler · 05/03/2017 01:53

I don't think it looks much different, try doing the curls again making sure you curl the end bits.

MoggieMaeEverso · 05/03/2017 02:25

It looks lovely curly!

MoggieMaeEverso · 05/03/2017 02:26

How do you feel about an undercut?

firsttimemum15 · 05/03/2017 02:28

It looks ok curly.

Where r u my hairdresser is great. Could recommend

retainertrainer · 05/03/2017 04:25

It really does look ok curly so don't panic but haircuts like that really pis me off,I've had one before now. Wear it curly until you can get to another hairdresser and explain what's happened and what you want. You won't have to loose much more length to just even it up.

Strawclutching · 05/03/2017 06:43

I think it looks lovely both ways
